Bosch Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second Bosch dishwasher. The old one quit after 12 years of hard use. Liked the last one so much I wanted to replace with the same one. Clean design, very quiet and easy to install. Only thing I would have liked added is a "cycle finished" indicator.

Seems more cheaply made than older units.

We halfway regret this purchase. In many cases, you have to connect it to Wi-Fi (the internet) in order to use many of it's extra functions. It will still work if you don't, but the front touchpad leaves a lot to be desired. It looks cheap and feels cheap, and doesn't work at times when we touch it! Good basic Bosch dishwasher choice

Won’t work, NO customer support

Bought this Bosch dishwasher in JUNE from Lowe’s..unit doesn’t work, it fills then drains w/in 4 min. After 4 visits to Lowe’s to see if anyone could help I was told I needed to call Bosch directly as they don’t have anyone in the store that knows exactly how it works as they have over a thousand items that they sell, and sorry… you only had 48 hrs to return a defective product…Thank you Lowe’s! Bosch 100 Series

This replaces a Bosch Series 100 that finally gave out after 15 years of daily use. I decided on this model, again, based on high rating marks from Consumer Reports, Forbes, and Goodhouskeeping. I don't need all the bells & whistles of high priced machines... I just want clean, sanitized dishes.

A nuisance to peel off coating

The machine works very well (we hope that it holds up as well as the FOURTY year old GE that it is replacing...) Five weeks in and we noticed that the stainless steel on the door appeared badly marred and seemed to be peeling. A call to Bosch got us "It could be just a protective shipping coat that is meant to pull off. If not, we do not warrantee issues involving finishes.." Hence the low overall rating. Great dishwasher

Absolutely do NOT buy

WE had a Bosch from years ago that ran excellently for well over 10 years. So when it came time to finally replace, there was never a question about getting another Bosch. Biggest mistake ever. Its functionality is very poor. Items do no fit in it well. But the worst issue is that it doesn't clean well. We've tried everything and It is still not cleaning well at all. Never been more disappointed in a product.

Bottom rack blocks the spray arm

The bottom rack has only a few crossbeams and they are widely spaced, so dishes and pots of all sizes sink down and stop the armature from rotating. I wish I could return this model and exchange for something else, or if Bosch offered one, I'd buy an upgraded lower rack. Learn from my experience, buy something else.

Buyer beware

Bait and switch ordered 300 series got 100

Buyer beware. So really confused when I ordered this on the site it was listed as a Bosch 300 series dishwasher. They since changed it to a 100 series in the listing. My shipping paperwork all references 300 series but my Lowe’s account now shows it as ordering 100 series. The shipping email couldn’t be changed so it still shows the 300. Great product

Super satisfied with the machine

App is a problem.

The washer does a good job of cleaning; it dries fairly well, except for silverware, which is so-so. We have been unable to set a time for the wash top start, nor have we been able to delay the wash. We can't find it in the app, or the app has grayed-out the choice--this is a real problem, and may cost us money on utilities in the summer if we fail to remember to turn it on at the needed time. False advertising/bait switch

Researched this model SHE41CM5N, which was a 300 model which has since I bought it been downgraded to another 100 model, and compared it to the 100 model (SHE3AEM6N) and when visiting the store yet again to try out with my own dishes which would work best discovered they were on sale in store only.
