Never used it until today and it completely destroyed my project!

Good router

Good quality brand, high quality product. Runs smoothly, very little vibration, good power for typical jobs, such as round-overs. Can recommend it.

A nifty palm router.

I used it with a ¼" quarter round bit to round the edges of a large table and two large shelves. It handled the job easily. I do think that the base is a bit small and I plan to try to find a scrap of perspex to make a larger base for it.

Won’t switch on

My wife bought me this router a few years back and I just took it out today to use it for the first time. I read the instruction but for some reason I can’t get it to turn on. I turn the switch on and I can hear the motor humming but that’s it. I didn’t leave it on too long since I could feel the motor getting warm. I can turn the shaft freely with my fingers and I made sure the base is aligned with the unlock position. Am I missing something??

Good tool, but one safety issue

I really think there should be a clear plastic cover to prevent fingers from coming in contact with moving parts. After the first time, I took extra care, but it happened again. If I do it again, I'm going to dump it.

Loved this tool, BUT NOW USELESS

Bought one soon after they came out and it has been a workhorse BUT.. The spindle lock crapped out early on; Bosch sent a thin wrench (thank you!). However, the jaws of the wrench only reach half-way across the flat surfaces of the spindle. Gradually, the soft metal of the spindle deformed and now it won't hold. Can not remove my bit; router useless. :(

Decent router…

It’s easy to handle and very powerful, no issues cutting thru teak and mahogany. And this was using cheap router bits! I’m sure medium quality bits or better and this router will perform well. Bit release works great, and the height adjustment is fine IF YOU READ AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER. I am singing it by 1 star because when you lock the height it sometimes readjusts on its own a 1/16”.

Bosch Colt 1 HP router

Works GREAT for quick trim jobs. I use mine with 1/4 roundover dedicated bit for decking. Nice and light and moves quick.

Would not power up

The router I bought can't be powered up. Very Disappointing Experience...

Nice Tool to have In The Toolbox

I bought this to cut the laminate on some countertops I was upgrading. The router is not too bulky and it easily trimmed the edges off of the laminate I had glued down. It is definitely a good tool to have in your tool box, and with a good set of bits you will start looking for projects around your home that need a new decorative edge to them.
