What Customers Are Saying
The Blue Hawk Black Tapping Block is a useful tool for installing laminate flooring, but it has some durability issues. Many found the block to be fragile and prone to cracking or breaking, especially when used with a hard mallet or for larger projects. However, when used carefully with a rubber mallet, the block was effective at securing the flooring without damage. The tapping block may work well for small jobs, but may not be durable enough for professional or large-scale installations.

Keeps Breaking
Would Not RecommendThis is one of the worst products I have ever bought from lowes. I have broken two of them after laying only about 100 SF of flooring. They are snapping right in half between the top part and the taping surface. Thought I was using it wrong, but there is no other way to use this product. Absolute garbage.

Tapping block gives needed protection.
Would RecommendThe flooring sections could easily be damaged if not protected during installation. This block offers that protection. The first one I bought broke after about 200 square feet flooring. However, I would rather replace the block than damage the flooring. This is a good buy. I would not consider going without it.

Works well
Would RecommendSo far we’ve completed about 300sqft of laminate and it’s going strong. Broke another one but not this brand.

Not very good
Would Not RecommendThis works better than the grooved tapping blocks but ive found most of this style are less effective than just using a piece of the flooring or a piece of 2x4.
