What Customers Are Saying
The tool performs adequately for basic coaxial cable repairs, but some users report issues with its durability and effectiveness. While it can effectively strip and crimp cables, saving time and money compared to professional services, a significant number of customers found it failed to properly complete the job, requiring additional tools or manual effort. The tool's construction is also described as cheap and flimsy, with some reporting it broke after limited use. Overall, it may be a suitable budget-friendly option for occasional, light-duty tasks, but may not be reliable or durable enough for frequent or more complex cable work.

Would Not RecommendThe cutting tool did not work, only stripping first piece and not second. Then after manually stripping we could not get a single one to grip the cable.
Cost effective tool to add coax connectors to RG6
Would RecommendGood tool for the price. It works as it should and I love that it came with a handful of coax connectors already so I didn't have to buy a pack of the since I only needed a few
Cheap and easy
Would RecommendThe fact that this thing was plastic had me a little scared, but it took me literally more time to read the instructions than it did to fix my connector. I saw a comment about needing grip strength and have no idea what that's about. I put the cable through, closed it and spun it around clockwise like 6 or 7 times. It stripped it perfectly. I put on new connector, slid it back into the tool and closed it...done. Saved me $100 trip fee from Comcast.
Cheap Plastic Product
Would Not RecommendI am no expert with coax, but i have done a lot of Cat-6 (8pin) cable builds and old fashioned phone lines. For each of those installs i had to buy special crimping equipment. They always worked well. This tool fails to live up to its need. After many failed attempts to strip the cable, i finally get a messy cut that i have to finish prepping and stripping by hand. The tool works. I was able to use the connectors. But i wouldn't recommend it. And the connectors are mostly plastic which d...

One use tool
Would Not RecommendIt did the job for one cut and was a lot cheaper than the other brand’s three tools I would have had to purchase (apx $90 total compared to a $32 total). But! After just the first cable cut and trim, one of the razors was no longer cutting into the cable at all. I ended up having to use a razor blade the old fashioned way. Getting the cable into the f connectors was difficult and I think related to the depth the tool cuts the cable at. I’m still not positive I have them in all the way - on one s...

Terrible design
Would Not RecommendThis tool does a poor job of preparing the cable for the connector. As such pushing the cable into the connector is almost impossible. This results in connectors that are rendered unusable. There are 10 connectors in the kit, you will need these to terminate one cable when you consider failure rates. Also when you cut the cable leave plenty of extra to accommodate failures. I would recommend Ideal brand as an alternative
Barely OK if you have patience
Would RecommendI was not able to get the cutting mechanism to work well. It tended to cut all the way through the grounding layer on the back cut but not cut through the inner insulation to the central wire on the front cut. I practiced on scrap cable but I was never able to get a consistently good result. Ultimately with careful work and trimming the insulation on inner wire separately, I was able to make the 3 connections I needed. The connectors fit very tightly on the cable I had.

Awesome. saved me from having to wait for COX
Would RecommendI wanted to move our modem to a different room, but realized that during the initial install only two of the coax ends were terminated (bedroom, living room). I also discovered that while COVID is prevalent, COX technicians are not entering homes (I bet if it were a new install they would, but I digress). This tool saved me from having to wait, and was cheaper than what I would have paid anyway. Very intuitive and easy to use.
Failed to work as advertised. Tried multiple times on many different RG6 cables. Never worked.
Cuts a good bit of shielding
Would Not RecommendI struggled with this thing on cutting almost half of the shielding. It worked for me since it was just an HDTV antenna, but if you are using it for anything high bandwidth like internet or cable forget it. Also it only works with its branded connectors. If you are making more than one or two terminations then cough up a few more bucks on a real tool.
Gets the job done
Would RecommendOverall, I like the product and I’m glad I purchased it. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who doesn’t have good grip strength. I was really close to returning it but I watched a video on youtube and decided to try again. The most important part is peeling back the braid properly. I didn’t do this well the first few times i tried and couldn’t get the connector on far enough. You need good grip strength to push it all the way on and then the compression tool works well. The instrcutions coul...
Does about half of what is was designed to do
Would Not RecommendWould only cut the outer sheath but not the braided shield with several attempts. It did compress the connector correctly and with ease.
Good tool for the homeowner
Would RecommendGood tool for the homeowner, I am using it to deploy an antenna in my attic. The included connectors are somewhat frustrating to use with quad shielded RG6 cable - it is a TIGHT fit. However, it's a small inconvenience considering I don't plan to do much of this work. If you do this for a living, you'd probably be much happier with a higher end tool and connectors.
Perfect tool
Would RecommendThis is perfect it cuts great

Great to make repairs
Would RecommendFor the cost this is the way to go instead of paying major prices to have a tech come out. I am so glad I bought it to save money - and it worked!!!
