because the material is plastic it doesn't withstand the force needed to compress f connectors. if you would like to only terminate and compress your f connector partially like 50% which is incomplete then this would be okay but finishing the job and compressing it properly to ensure that it is 100% compressed and seated properly results in the breakage of the tool I have returned this to the store already and I don't recommend anyone ever buying it. if it was made from metal it probably would w...

Be careful how you cut the wire

Easy to use

Costs more, but so simple to use.

Title says it all. For a new TV antenna project, I needed to redo wires but needed them sized as needed. This tool made making custom coaxial cables super simple.

Literally, zero problems

Worked great, not sure why all the negative reviews. Yah, not a good tool for pros but I think the pros already know that. I rewired from my office to my main splitter (several coax heads) with no problems.

Easy to use for beginners

I needed a quick fix for a broken coaxial cable, and this was the cheapest tool Lowes offered. It was easy to use and came with connectors. I would recommend this for a quick fix but would probably get a higher quality one if you’re planning on using it a lot.

NO VALUE WHEN A TOOL CAN'T DO IT'S JOB

I had only a few coax crimps to make and I thought this would be good for an occasional use. WRONG. The stripper almost worked, but the stripping had to be completed with a razor. When squeezing the plastic handle to perform the crimping operation, the pressure forced the handle up and out of the tool base rendering it useless. This product was returned and a separate stripper and a crimper purchased to complete the job. I would not recommend this product to either friend or enemy.

Don't bother with this.

I tried it and it is limited to a special kind of compression F connectors with plastic and the cutting mechanism is difficult to use correctly. It works buy will not attach the coax cable to connector

worked well for the first connector. then it broke. the rear blade came loose and the tool only makes the front cut. I have to do the rear cut by hand. save your money! you are going to do most of the work with a utility knife anyway. just skip this piece of junk.

Used all 10 connectors and followed the instructions and it still didn’t do what it’s supposed to do. Complete junk

Easy to Use

It did the job, however the connectors were somewhat fidgety.
