Good for rippn'

This is a great concept, like a fence on a high quality table saw. Clamp could be a little tighter. Double check your measurement after you tighten the clamp. Guide will shift if you move to fast.

Just what you would expect.

I bought this to use as an extension for the fence of my Jointer. It is not made for this purpose, but works better than I had expected. The clamp is strong and does not move even under pressure. I did not anticipate using the T-Track system that is built in to this item. Because I use it in a vertical orientation, I did not expect to find useful T-Track tools - I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to add a featherboard to the T-Track and use it to help joint longer boards.

Doesn't hold

This clamp is incredibly frustrating to use. After carefully setting up the cut, positioning the guide and engaging the clamp lever, the adjustable grip head on the far end would fail to engage and simply slide back as pressure was placed on it. The result was I had to position the clamp 4 or 5 times for each cut until I got it to engage and hold. On a couple occasions it held, but insecurely so that the clamp slid if significant pressure was placed on it. Fortunately I realized this before I st...

Tried using it with the Rockwell 4.5" circular saw. Slipped twice. Does not grip well, don't waste your time or money.

Straight truth

This worked great for ripping plywood and cutting straight lines in other lumber

Works like a charm

This clamp works, and works well. I finally have something that I can use to cut plywood and other large boards using my circular saw and make perfectly straight cuts. It takes a couple tries to get the exact hang of the locking mechanism, but once you know how it works, it is extremely easy to lock it down snug or adjust it.

Worthless for it's intended use.

I bought this guide with the expectation that it would be a quick, accurate , and useful guide for sawing or routing. As it turned out, I had to use external squares and clamps to get it to work accurately. Before that I messed up several cuts, some of which cost me lumber that was cut so poorly I could not use it. The mechanism is not self squaring, and needs to be checked over and over before depending on it, hence the external clamps. I would not recommend anyone buy this product.

Simple and Effective

I purchased this clamp when I had some bead board paneling to cut. My circular saw has a laser, but even with that it is difficult to maintain a perfectly straight cut over 4 feet. With this clamp, however, it was simple. A very effective way to guide your saw, and get a very straight cut. Simple to use and very effective. Do not buy

I bought this to do some long cuts on a peice of wood that was too big for me to handle with my table saw. After doing my first cut i realized that the guide was not square. I spent 20 mins trying to get the guide to square up for me but they just gave up and free handed it.

worst purchase ever

The only thing this tool is good for is using it for drawing a straight line. I have returned the tool for a full refund. the slideable stop would not hold position. it keeps loosening up. the locking device is cheap. the price of the tool is nearly three times the price of the one I found at Harbor Freight. by the way .....that one works perfectly.
