Would RecommendThe Black Flag Bug Zapper does a great job for smaller yard areas. It works well and was easy to setup. It comes ready to hang right out of the box. The only thing you need is a place to hang it and an extension cord.
Powerful and effective
Would RecommendMy friends are avid gardeners so I let them use this unit for a couple days during backyard harvest season. They were impressed. At first they only saw moth remains from this zapper but noticed reduced mosquitoes. Apparently this zapper is so powerful it literally vaporizers mosquitoes leaving no remains! The unit turns on once plugged in and consumes 15 watts. Not having a dusk/dawn timer is a plus as you will miss many of those evening bugs who come out right before dusk.
My House in the Woods!
Would RecommendI live in a wooded area and have never used a Bug Zapper. I never sit on my patio due to the mosquitos. I did not believe that the Bug Zapper would work but it did. This is very very easy to set up. I love the extra Mosquito lure enclosed with this Bug Zapper. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to sit outside but hates the mosquitos.

Would RecommendThis Black Flag zapper replaces one that is/was over 40 years old, one of the original I might add...the bait included with the zapper seemed to do what it was supposed to do....moths cause a huge racket, glad they are not protected by PETA.

Durable
Would RecommendThis seems to be a fairly durable unit. Hardened plastic (black) all around. The door on the bottom latches nicely and the bulb fits tight in the socket. I got it in the fall, so not much chance to actually see how well it does on bugs yet. My only issue is the power cord, which is just over 12" in length. I have it hung up next to my garage door opener because I'll have to add an outlet outside because it's so short...or make the cord longer.
Better than expected
Like the sturdiness of this product. Not very heavy and hangs on a hook easily. The only drawback is a need for an extension cord for placement. I didn't have one so I tested it on my front porch light witha an socket adapter.

Would RecommendIt's your classic bug zapper, madewell and includes a bait lure. Fully assembled, easy to hang and works well. Seems to lower the number of pests while we're enjoying our porch.

Would RecommendWe live on 1 3/4 acres which is total woods. We've been fighting the bugs since we arrived here. I've tried spraying the yard with not much luck. Would RecommendEasy to assemble. You will need absolutely no tools. It works really well and is kind of satisfying to hear the bugs zapping when they have been bothering you all summer. There is no on off switch, I'm not sure if that is what I'd prefer. Plugging it in to an outlet is how it turns on. I would have preferred a longer cord so I wouldn't need and extension.
