A Pro and a Con vs. Shark

We've used Shark vacuums before, and we've found one pro and one con B&D vs. Shark. The pro: B&D is lighter and easier for my wife to use. The con: Sharks (the two that we've owned) had stronger suction.

Loved it until it stopped working..

Really loved this vacuum at first. Easy to maneuver, great suction, and the battery lasted long enough to vacuum the entire main floor of my house. However, the motor started making a weird noise and the vacuum stopped working after only 6 months. Since it's still under warranty, I tried contacting Black and Decker to get it repaired or replaced and it's been one of my most frustrating customer service experiences ever. Great value for $$ with valuable features !

I did not like that it was previously owned and dumped gravel and dirt all over my slacks, sofa & rug when i opened it to clean the dust bin. I don't like the heavy top mounted motor with my torn rotator cuff shoulder but that's all that's available sadly. OTHERWISE- IT'S POWERFUL, HAS A LONG LIFE CHARGE, IS VERY EASY TO OPERATE AND CLEAN. THE DUAL POWER SUCTION IS QUITE USEFUL AND VERSATILE. AND IT LOOKS CUTE STANDING IN MY KITCHEN CORNER & CAN STAY PLUGGED IN AND CHARGED!

I've only had the vacuum for less than a week but so far I've used it numerous times. It's compact and easy to put up. It's works well in my small space but the battery life isn't the best if you need it for bigger spaces.

I love this vacuum ... mostly. It works perfect for what I wanted it for. Long hallway, with 3 kitty litter boxes and I wanted something lightweight that I could grab to clean-up when the cats kick litter out of the box. I bought it June 24th, 2025 and last night, July 7th, 2025, the left wheel fell off. I can't see anything wrong and after looking it over, I snapped it back on. Love this vacuum but after a few months the bristles stopped spinning and the only way for the light to stay on is to take it out. So I don’t know how well it will really clean the floor at this point.

No brush attachment. Very poor.

Just got this. Vacuum seems ok, but you could not even include a 50-cent brush attachment? I cannot even find one on your site available for order. Not impressed.

Works good and efficiently

Suction power is good, I mostly use the lowest setting. The battery life lasts long enough to cover most of my house that needs vacuuming. It stands alone, but it is not real steady. I keep it plugged in so it is ready for a quick cleanup.
