Good

This is great for small projects. My wife bought this a couple years ago and uses It on her household projects and crafts. The cordless feature is great and It definitely gets the job done.

easy to use,and it does the job.

my fathers old b&d,(apprx. 50 years old) finally died,this one is also the same unit. all my tools are black & decker.

paper

Changing paper can be problematic if left plugged in, and who wants to unplug every time you have to change? The lock-out switch isn't very sturdy and can cause the unit to run while changing the paper, a very poor design flaw in my estimation. Otherwise it works as expected.

Function is great. Stopped working after 5 months

I bought this unit with a date code of 2018 46-58-41 in April 2020. Stopped working in September. Took it apart and switch was okay, but armature is bad. See attached photo.

Great for Small Jobs

Works as promised. Black and Decker dependability at a reasonable price.

Great Sander!

The unit feels good as I hold it. I had good control and feel as I used it. The square shape lets me sand in a corner where walls meet. I like how it turns on and off by your palm's touch. The lock is nice for when you need to set the tool down or change the paper. Plus, it has 2,000 more orbits per minute than another one that cost $10 more! Highly recommend this sander.

Good enough for the price.

Just bought my 2nd. First had the fan blade come apart after 3 years. For the price, I guess this is good enough. The punch works well for precut sandpaper. I tried to use different paper and it would slide off.

Works Good

Just bought my 2nd one. The first bought in 2017 and the fan cracked while running. For the price it was a good sander.

bad clamps

THe clamps dont provide enough tension to hold the paper in place. I spent as much on paper as i did for the tool for 1 large project. Had tool for 3 days will be returning.

Dust Collector will not stand up to use.

I really like the sander but the dust collector bag is not well made. I have to buy another one. Lowes does not sell the dust collector bag and cannot tell me where to buy one. I really like Lowes but the company needs to be able to tell where to purchase repair parts.

Gets it done

Great little compact 1/4 sheet sander. Best part is it comes with a punch plate so you don't have to stress if you're going higher than 320 grit. The punch plate puts the hole pattern in the sheet you're using so the vacuum continues to work. If you hook it up to a shopvac you'll get even better dust removal.

Very good small basic sander for small not too complicated jobs

Works as expected and it was at a good price. Dust filter didn’t seem to help much, but maybe they’re all this way.
