Not Sand - Pulverized Rock
Would Not RecommendI bought this, thinking that it was sand and that I could use it to throw over ice for traction. Instead, I received a bag of wet pulverized rock. The material is powder and fine rocks. With sand, you can brush it aside and the damage it will do to concrete is minimal. With this product, brushing it aside on concrete leaves marks similar to holding a rock in your hand and 'writing' on a sidewalk. If you are looking for SAND, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Good sand, Wrong Color for Ice
Would RecommendThe Sacrete Tube Sand worked very well to provide an abrasive on our ice-covered driveway. It would work a little better if it were darker in color, making for better sunlight absorbtion. This would also make it easier to see what surface had been treated.
