Make sure that the machine is properly serviced.

The product is fine...after I adjusted the drive and impeller actuators. Also the skid shoes were loose and causing the scraper blade to dig in.

Best Purchase 2026 before a snow storm.

With this past snow storm we just had this snow blower cleared the driveway without any problems.

I bought this a few weeks ago when we got our first snowstorm and it's amazing, it plows right through 2 feet of snow and has a lot of great features!

Exceptional performance and value

This is my initial review on the Ariens Deluxe 28". Today, 1/26/2026 was its second big snow event mission since purchase and it has handled the heavy wet snow as well as the deep powdery stuff with ease. Built like a tank and powerful, it just gets the job done without all the bells and whistles of todays tech based nonsense. My only complaint is the fact that the LED light has stopped working. The ground and wiring connector are good but the light stopped working on only its second mission! ...

EXCEPTIONAL performance

This is my initial assessment of my new Deluxe 28". Having been thru two big snow events for 2026 in Northern NY (ADK MTNS) this machine is built like a tank and very powerful. It has handled the heavy wet stuff and today (1/26/2026) the deep fluffy powder stuff with ease. This machine is easy to use and the ergonomics are perfect. Rod blew out on first use - Lowes won't help

That's right, look at the pictures below. First use and this happens. The unit arrived mid-December, but I had no significant snowfall until Jan. 25, so it was my first chance to use it. Lowes says it's over 30 days, so they won't cover it and I have to contact Ariens instead. They don't care that it blew up on its first use. NEVER BUYING FROM LOWE'S AGAIN!

Do not buy

The brand new snow blower was delivered on 1/6/2026. After the heavy snow on 1/26/2026, when I tried to use it, immediately its chute rotator arm became free. It would not rotate the chute left/right. The nearest dealer is 12 miles away and wants me to bring the snow blower in for repair. No way I can lift this heavy snow blower for transport. The dealer charges $59.99 if they have to come out to pick up for repair and deliver it back. This is extremely poor quality and service.

Worthless on packed snow

The "liked" is short: power steering. It's great, much better than the levers that the Troy-Bilt I tried had. It's also the reason I gave this 2 stars instead of one. The "not liked": the ability to clear snow, which is the whole purpose. I have a long driveway, over 400 feet, and the snow had been driven on a couple times. Got snow? S-now problem.

Easy to start. Powerful at the first gear even. Clears the snow very well. We really like this snowblower.

Leaking Oil

Snowblower is leaking oil right out of the box. Now I have to haul it to a dealer for repair just to use the warranty. Very unhappy considering I don't have a truck our trailer, so I'll need to absorb the additional expense to rent or hire someone.

Poor Service

I had the machine assembled and delivered. It started perfectly but the motor shuts off when I turn off the choke all the way. It continues to run if I only shut the choke off 1/2 way. I contacted the store and they provided me with a couple of things to try none of them worked. I called the store again and they said I had to contact the manufacture to have it repaired. This is unaccpetable the machine is brand new and has never been used. I would think Lowes would pick up the machine...

Check for assembly/operation before people leave.
