Eats up heavy wet snow easily
Would RecommendHandles wet heavy snow very well. Good self-propelled force, and throws the snow away extremely well. Previously had a craftsman for many years, but like this Ariens model so much more. Much stronger. For the somewhat mechanically inclined, final assembly is not too hard. I will never live without a (this) snowblower for the rest of my life.

Would RecommendThird season with the 28" Deluxe with the 254cc engine. LOVE IT. Live in western PA, where we get 2-4" regularly, 1 foot occasionally, always heavy wet snow, and we have large snow berms from the plows. I've owned a similar sized Honda track drive unit and got rid of it because it was too slow for quick clearing. What I love about the Ariens is that in typical snow falls, in high gears 5-7, you can walk at a brisk pace and clear quickly. Our driveway is about 18' wide by 120' long. Howev...
