Ify lock, but one tough mailbox
Would RecommendAfter a year of use the lock somehow jammed. My own fault for not maintaining it when I first noticed it getting rough to unlock. After it froze I tried graphite lube and then WD-40 but no luck. I figured I'd drill it out and replace it but no way. Since it was getting dark soon, I committed to breaking into the box knowing I'd have to replace it before the mail delivery the next day. Good thing I don't do this for a living because it took almost 30 minutes with a large crow bar and 3 lb. sl...

Strong box
Would RecommendJust put this up by my front door to replace an old wooden box and had a mail slot in the same place. Covered it up so now no more cold air coming thru. Will update if i have any problems. I mounted it with a piece of marine plywood and used #10 x 1 1/2 Philips head stainless steel bolts and washers and lock nuts. I also bought two angle brackets like 15 inches long to sit it on. Installation went straight forward. Came with two keys. Red flag bolted right on also.
Secure!
Love this locking mailbox. We started to have issues with unknown people opening our mail box and decided it was time to secure our mailbox. This box is very strong and should last for many years to come. There is weather stripping around the locking door to prevent moisture from entering the box. We will see how it does against a strong storm.
No water gets in
Would RecommendSometime a big envelope prevents the mail from laying flat but is ok if you get your mail often.
