Ratings & Reviews for American Standard Replacement Sealant For Flush Valve Champi
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Many customers report successful repairs using genuine replacement seals, with improved fit and material quality compared to aftermarket alternatives. However, a significant portion experience recurring leaks or phantom flushing despite replacements, with some reporting failures within weeks or months. Several note the issue stems from fundamental flush valve design rather than seal quality alone. While some find temporary success, the pattern of repeated failures has led many to distrust the brand and consider switching to alternative products entirely.

I used both seals that I purchased and did not fix the problem, now going thru the warranty process to get all new tank guts to hopefully fix y continual water leak.

Junk
Would Not RecommendNew seal leaks more than the one it replaced. This toilet style is junk.

Some things are't worth chinzen on...
Some things are't worth chinzen on, so buy the OEM replacement part for the repair and avoid the do-over. You don't save any money buying the part twice but you do save yourself a lot of aggravation.

Make it like the original, do better!
This replacement seal is not the same material or make up as the original that came with the toilet. This seal does work like the original, it leaks. Water slowly seeps through flush valve and causes water waste and poor flushing power. Water level in tank drops at least an inch after an hour or two. Very frustrating.

Champion Seal
I have had 2 Champion 4 toilets for over 10 years. I have purchased seal rings from both retailers and online dealers. All said they were specifically for the Champion toilets. I got tired of the leaking and seal changing twice a year. I just purchased 2 American Standard seals and am hoping they finally work. If they don't I'll change brands.

Disappointed
Would Not Recommenddisappointed that I had to purchase this and replace the seal four times in one year. When the toilet starts leaking again, I will replace it with a toilet from a different manufacturer.

Does the job.
It was easy to replace and stopped the leak. The internet search showed me how to change it and that after market copycats don’t last long and recommended getting this one from the manufacturer.

Why show six items???
Would Not RecommendLowe’s Website, and the order confirmation, and the delivery notification all show 6 seal kits. However, I only received one item. Lowe’s customer service insists that the item number is for just one. So why show a bundle of 6 on the website? Why show a bundle of 6 in the order confirmation? And even in the delivery notification email? Very misleading and disappointing.

Expected to get 6 and recieved one.
Would Not RecommendIt is a good price for 6 of these, but a bad price for just one.
Why to by OEM parts from American Standard.
Would RecommendMade the mistake of buying an off brand that claimed to be "similar" to the factory one at a cheap price. The toilet leak was worse after the installation. Talked to American Standard and ordered the OEM product. Once received, I called and the kind person walked me through the proper installation. Works perfectly! By the way, the two items were clearly different!

Replacing the parts did not address the issue. I continue to have issues with phantom flushing. This is very frustrating. And wasting a lot of water.
