Like it so far

I like the way you can set it for different hours of operation and even a random setting to throw off burglars. So far it is working well. We bought it to replace an old one we had which was too sensitive and was flickering too much during the early evening/ just getting dark hours.

Screw in light sensor

It works well as a dusk to dawn light. I bought it to save some money on my electrical bill.

Flickered

Bought these for 3 covered porch lights, they did nothing but flicker, I returned these the next day.

I bought this to use in an outdoor post light after reading great reviews. Installation was a snap but all night long it was on and off every few minutes. Very disappointed. Luckily I saved the package and receipt. On to Plan B

Product worked

Liked that it was easy to install in our outdoor light fixtures. It is already set up for dawn to dusk so we just set the switch for on and it does all the work.

Terrible unit made by UTILTEC

I assume previous good reviews were for units made by AmerTAC as noted online. Unit now made by UTILTEC 0141611 TERRIBLE> Turns on but not OFF. Not interested in program only wanted dusk to dawn. Lowe's also sell a Woods brand sensor which is also a real downer... Some unites turn on but not off and other unites by Woods cycle on and off ever few minutes. night lights

great little gadget, works wonderfully, lights on at dusk and off at dawn, just what I was looking for.

Not reliable

These sensors are great when they work, but they don't hold up. I bought three and one of them never worked from the start. I replaced it with another one, and about a month later, one more has quit working on me. After two bad ones out of four, it's time to move on to something better.

Great for Time Change

I purchased this because it was the wonderful time change that means you get home from work and the front porch is dark. I thought from reading the info on the package it might work. It did! You have to follow what the instructions say on changing it from dawn to dusk setting, but it works, and I am so glad I got it. I use LED lighting, but this works with the LED's and whether the outside fixture is facing up or down they have complete instructions on how to do the setting. You can also us...

ok but....

worked well for about a year... then never detected motion again.... it still came on when i flipped the switch on, but it never went off when there was no motion... i'm looking for something else, even if i have to pay twice the price... i need something that will last more than a year.

Works Great

This is the my 3rd attempt at purchasing a light sensor for my outdoor lanterns. These are fabulous. Unfortunately, neither my husband nor I saw these in the store, but I could order them online with local store pickup. They work as indicated. They're not as complicated to "set" as one would think. If you're installing these in a semi-tight location, you may need a friend with a smaller hand to actually press the buttons to set your desired on/off settings. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Best purchase of dusk to dawn light sensor

This is the best and only dusk to dawn light sensor to buy. I had purchased other simple light sensors from Lowes & a competitor and had to take each of them back. This product is very easy to set to either 2. 6, or eight hours or random. I was very pleased to be able to purchase a product that works great after the frustration of purchasing others that look the same that did not work at all. Again, this is the only light sensor to buy.

I have purchased other brands and they typically stop working after a year so we will see how this one does.

Bad purchase

There are little if any directions with this and what is available on the back requires the use of a magnifying glass to read. Very disappointed that this doesn't work. I would have returned it but I misplaced the receipt.
