This little fixture is great I love the fact that you can set it on random or you can also set it to Dusk and Dawn or different times. I love random because nobody can tell when you're coming or going it's great buy this!

did just what I wanted it to do

works great shuts on and off with nightfall and daylight.

Works Well

Lost a star due to height. I had to get (make) a longer globe to accommodate the Sensor. Easy to program but we use the Photosensor without any time intervals

Perfect for indoor/outdoor fixtures w/ open bottom

It worked great for my outdoor garage lights. I have not used the random or program settings. Just use it for the day/night sensor. Works perfectly in my outdoor fixtures, even with rain, snow or ice around the fixture. Just remember it adds about 3 inches to the length of your bulb. So it wont fit some fully enclosed fixtures.

Short Lifespan

It worked great for about a year. Then it completely stopped functioning. When it worked it was a good product.

Not good

Light goes on at dusk bur then it goes off and on for the rest of the night until dawn. Not acceptable.

Its ok if you have a bare bulb near a window, went with the digital , same price better featurs

Worked for 3 days

Everything as advertised..for 3 days. Then it stopped working. Could only turn off/on with switch.Going to return.

Outdoor Lighting

All we had to do was screw this in place and screw an LED bulb into it. It works great and should cut down on any prowlers at night because it sure lights up the front.

Wrong company name

I purchased this at Lowes. It works as opposed to two other brands that I tried which didn't. It was hard to find in the store because the web site says AmerTac. In fact the company name is Utilitech and that is how it is labeled in the store. The back of the packaging says "Distributed by AmerTac".

Screw-in Timer (P/N 0141611)

This unit works GREAT... right up until it DOESN'T. The internal circuit apparently needs the filament (and electrical load) of a working light bulb to function properly. If the light bulb burns out, the unit heats up internally and fails because the bulb filament is no longer part of the circuit. Unless you are quick enough to find the burned-out bulb and turn off the power, the timer kills itself and will no longer function even after changing the bulb. I would buy this

I went to Lowes to purchase this because their site said they had nine in store plus I liked all the positive reviews. I get there and they have none. Clerk recommends the Woods one instead. It (woods brand) is absolute trash. Why would I want my outside light flashing on and off every few seconds? I don't live that close to Lowe's. Now I have to make a trip in the heat and use my gas to return this junk. I will attempt to track down the AmerTac White Screw-in Light Sensor as the reviews make ...

Nice idea

Nice idea. But it comes on early! The sun is shining right on it with the sensor pointed right at the sun. Don't know why this is. But comes on as early as 2 hours before sunset.

Not so bad, not great

If you're looking for a dusk to dawn, these work great. We get flash power outages and that quick off/on keeps resetting them. Hope that helps!

Dust to dawn light

This was a great investment for me. It allows me to not to have to worry about being home or away from home at a certain time, because, I know that this light will turn itself on and off. This is a little added security for me.

Works great!

This works great. I use the dusk-to-dawn setting. The only issue I have is that my globe no longer fits with this screwed on and I'm currently looking for a replacement globe.

I bought these to have dawn to dusk porch lights until I can afford to buy new light fixtures
