Used 4 of these unit to turn my outside lights to come on at dusk and off in the morning. Works great. The question, would I bu them again? Yes. Would I tell my friends about these unit? Yes and they bought them for there house

Operates as advertised

I use this for my back porch light dusk to dawn setting. It has been working perfectly for the past 30 days.

A great light sensor

Great light sensor easy to program. Can be programmed easily to come on at dusk to dawn, or for various hours on, or even random turning on and off. Lots of features at a good price.

Fits perfectly into.existing exterior light fixtur

This model can be programmed to run for certain hours daily. We leave ours o the dusk.to daen setting. No more co.ing to the front door fumbling for keys in the dark

Does not Work in Glass

This item barely works outside of an enclosure and does not work well at all inside any enclosure.

Doesn’t work as advertised

I ordered these for our master closet so we didn’t have to mess with the light switch, or the lights being left on. They didn’t sense motion, therefore were pointless for the intended need.

Function but didn't fit

I purchased the socket as a quick fix to add dusk to dawn feature to existing exterior light fixture before I went out of town. I tested it and it worked as described. Unfortunately, it did not screw securely in the old flood light fixture I have.

works very well. I use it for my garage light and switch from light bulb to lighted Christmas wreath in the season.

This item does the job. I had to purchase a replacement because the first one melted and stopped working.

Would definitely buy again

I had been shopping for a simple on off sensor for my front porch for almost half a year. Having purchased and returned almost every type from HD I finally found this unit from Lowe’s. Screwed it into the socket of the light on my front porch and by golly it worked. I was overjoyed. The search was over. I don’t know about longevity but this is replacing one that lasted almost 10 years.

Works If you have the room

It's dead easy to install, just unscrew your light, screw in the sensor, then screw back in the light. Once screwed in you press the grey button to set the amount of time the light will stay on (2,4,8 hours i think). The only issue, and why I had to return it, is that it significantly increases the height required for light + sensor. In some cases that makes the bottom of the light extend past the fixture, but in my case I had an enclosed globe. That meant that the light + sensor was too long ...

Not user friendly access

Get a smart switch instead. This is old school for what lowes has for smart home alternatives .

Serves its purpose!

I got this because SOMEONE was leaving the light on in a room every day. This helps tremendously! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a bit iffy. Sometimes I have to really wave my arm up close to it for it to register that I'm there. Most of the time, though, it figures it out pretty quickly. Also, would've liked the option of setting to one minute, or five minutes, but all in all, a good buy.

Love this item but if you unscrew if when bulb burns out it doesn’t work anymore
