Would RecommendThese jack posts provide good supplemental support, however they aren't as adjustable as they make them sound. Once load is applied to them, the threaded collar that sits on the end of the larger diameter pipe turns with the threaded shaft when adjusting with a wrench. I tried holding it with a large pair of channel locks, curved vise grips, etc., but nothing holds. I had to use a 20 ton bottle jack to do the lifting and then adjust the jack posts with little to no load. Then release the pressu...

The right tool for the crawspace job.
Would RecommendI was repacing a rotten sill plate and had to lift from the crawspace. This is much safer and effective tool than bottle jacks. I used a 2 x 6 for the base and on top, safely distributing the weight and controlling the lift. Surprise, it ended up being more than the sill plate.
