Would RecommendWe live in manufactured home and wanted a Waterbed, used 2 of these and a 4x6 post to reinforce floor. Would benifit from welding the bottom plate to the tube. as well as the nut for the top of the tube.

Would RecommendWell built, easily adjustable. I wish the plates were small enough to fit in a post base, or attach to a 4x4, but other wise this product is easy to use. Get some large head screws or bolts as the large holes in the plates need them if you're going to secure them to beams or a base.

19" minimum size is not accurate
This is a high-quality jack and seems very sturdy. However, it is described as having a minimum capacity of 19 inches. Nope. That's only the length of the tube. If you insert the threaded insert (and you can't really tighten this if you don't) AND include the thickness of the top and bottom floor plates, the shortest length is now 21.5 inches. So I had to return it; it wouldn't fit where I needed it to go.
