What Customers Are Saying
The diesel fuel can has a flawed design that makes it challenging to use. The short spout nozzle, weak actuating handle, and difficult safety switch cause frequent spills and messes. The non-vented can also results in slow, uneven fuel flow, requiring the user to hold the can in awkward positions. While some found the can durable, the overall consensus is that it is a poorly engineered product that should be avoided in favor of higher-quality alternatives.

Would RecommendJust a nice gas can that is clearly marked for diesel. You can easily tell what type of gas is in it.

A little spendy for a "gas can", but well worth the extra money. Should last a lifetime.

Can is fine but pouring mechanism is difficult
Would RecommendTHe can is fine but the poring mechanism is clumsy and difficuly to operate, causing me to spill diesel the first time I used it. You have to move the pouring nossle to a new position and push down to release the fuel. This is not an easy task as its heavy when full. I learned resting the nossle on the pipe then selecting then pushing down was best but does have you wishing for a third hand!

Very bad designed spout
Would Not RecommendI don't know about the can, because I never got pass the problems with the spout. I poured the gas into something else and returned the can to Lowe's.

Get No-Spill brand instead.
Would Not RecommendTerrible spout design. Involves rotating while compacting an internal spring. Not built for the long run. Returned.

Worked pretty much as described.
Would RecommendJust what the Dr ordered when I needed to bring in some heating oil on a weekend when my oil supplier wanted $150 just to come out to the house. I was glad for the color coding (yellow for heating oil). I did find the open-the-flow trigger difficult to use. The result was a bit of a mess on the driveway.

Spout needs to be re-engineered.
Would Not RecommendI agree with the earlier review saying there were too many “Safety” features. There were no “convenience” features. The safety/anti-spill tab on the spout makes it difficult to pour fuel - especially in confined areas. The spout was more hinder than help, so I ended up taking the spout off and pouring directly from the can into a funnel. Being in a confined pouring area, I ended up spilling fuel trying to line up the pour with the funnel. The handle needs to be longer down the back so you can ti...

5 gallon diesel storage tank
Would RecommendI like the use of the tank but one floored design in this product. If I want to take out the spout and only use the cap to store fuel you can't. The small cap that is with this unit will close tight without having to stick the spout back into the fuel to close it. The cap that is used to seal the unit should come with a gasket so it can be sealed with out sticking the spout back into the tank.

Too many "safety" and "convenience" features!!!!
Would Not RecommendI had to cut off the saw tooth plastic that is meant to keep the can from accidentally opening (or else make it child proof) since it wouldn't clear when pressed. Then the check valve in side wouldn't work correctly, so I had to take it out ...now I have no cap because the is the check valves purpose. Way too complicated and expensive for a simple diesel (or gas) can! I have a degree in chemistry, a degree in electronics, and I've farmed for 35 years, so I know was a fuel can should do!

Poor design
Would Not RecommendThis product is not easy to use and almost is not worth the agravation to get fuel to pour out of the jug. The handle doesn't go low enough down the back so your hand is always twisted when trying to empty the container.

The 'spill proof' spout is anything but...
Would Not RecommendThe can itself is fine. However, the supposed 'spill proof' spout is a disaster. These new type of spouts are new to all types of gas cans. The spouts are extremely difficult to use and you must apply constant pressure on the spout to enable the gas flow. This is near impossible to do when filling up something light like a weed trimmer.

blitz gas and diesel fuel containers
Would RecommendI have both gas and diesel containers they work just fine for me you do have to follow the directions they are not that fast to empty put if you unlock as the direction states and then when you put the spout in the opening and let the weight of the fuel open the spout you have two handles to hold on to and was pleased with working of the spout

Would Not RecommendThe spout is a poor design. It's hard to use the lock and the fuel comes out to slow.

Horrid Design! Do not purchase
Would Not RecommendI just purchased a new diesel P/U and wanted to haul an extra five gallons of fuel while camping so I could extend my range. I picked this little "gem" up while on an excursion at Lowes. So I stop in a rest area an hour from home, and figure I'll just pour that fuel into my tank so it doesn't sit at home. Now, the cussing begins. First, there is a spring operated valve on the discharge nozzle that you are supposed to be able to "lock" open. It was so poorly built, that the lock didn't work. So, ...
Perfect example of what happens when bureaucrats design something without any hands-on knowledge of how it's to be used in the real world. The nozzle is too short and the actuating handle is way too flimsy. I bought three for emergency tractor fills in the fields if a driver runs out of diesel. It's too difficult trying to hoist the thing up in the air and pour the fuel into the tank while balancing on the tractor - and after a few uses I've had two pour spouts fail and overall we spill more fue...
Absolutely Awful
Would Not RecommendCan never completely empty can without spilling liquid all over the place. Terrible design. Hard to remove lid to fill.
