Not compatible with older freezers
Would Not RecommendI had to order this icemaker because the one in my working Whirlpool fridge/freezer was not compatible. This has a totally different electrical connector, the ice cubes are a bit smaller and the new fridge had no water supply for the icemaker installed. It also took 4 days before it began making ice cubes. It seems to be working now, but plan to do the whole installation, including adding the water solenoid, the plastic tube to get the water to the icemaker and getting the power cord to mate wit...

Difficult Installation
Would Not RecommendI found installing this ice maker very difficult. The installation manual was not clear for many of the steps. I needed to drill through the foam insulation in order to install the fill tube from the back. The hole plugs inside the freezer were difficult to remove.
