What Customers Are Saying
The 1x4x8 furring strips were generally found to be of good quality, with the wood being straight and suitable for various projects. Customers appreciated the affordable price and the product matching the advertised specifications. However, some reported issues with the quality, including warping, knots, cracks, and splits in the wood, requiring them to sort through multiple pieces to find a few usable ones. Despite these concerns, most customers were satisfied with the product for its intended purpose as basic furring strips, especially when they were able to hand-select the better pieces.

Crap
Would Not RecommendIt doesn’t look anything like this in store. Lowe’s sucks along with the others.
Don't let sales associates sell you lumber scraps
Would Not RecommendThese boards were in the back in a pile that obviously was going to be thrown out but I was told by a employee that they would discount them 50% discount. Some could only partially be used and those would discounted further. When I bought them the discount wasn't given as told.

Most good, some warped
Would RecommendBought 30 or so of these and most were fine, but three or four were severely warped
Good for furniture.
Would RecommendI use these for the backs of the Adirondack chairs I build. Easy to cut and run across the routing table. They sand and stain well. Nice uniform look.
Pretty good wood. I would purchase again
Nicely milled one by four by eights. They served their purpose
