Good Oil Base Stain
Would RecommendOil base stains are getting harder to get due to EPA regulations. More and more water base products are on the market. I feel this Cabot stain really penetrates the wood very well. I applied this product to pressure treated pine which I waited for 3 months before pressure cleaning with Cabot deck wash. Overall I am pleased with final results. Pecan “color” it is so lightly pigmented that you cannot even see it, at least on both pine and oak. I did half of a pine door and the only way to tell the difference was to feel for the raised grain. Just a heads up regarding the color.
