Valspar Reserve Interior

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this paint as soon as it came on the market and have continued to buy and use in my house of over 100 years of age. It covers and makes the house look like a show place that it is.

Don't waste your time

One coat coverage is a joke I was painting of a white wall and had to do 3 coats this paint was a waste of my time and money very disappointed and false advertisement on valspars end

Love the product

Loved the color but I had to use two coats

Garbage! 3 coat minimum

One coat my butt. It took 3 coats and the alabaster color under is still visible. Absolute trash product.

Not worth the price, time

I don’t know how they can state 1 cost coverage. I followed all their directions. Walks weren’t even close to the measured amount. Much smaller. Temps good. Walls clean and dry. Used appropriate equipment. Still require 2 and in some areas 3 coats. Had I known I’d have used a cheaper paint. Might as well for the same expense, cost and time of applying this brand. Could have spent less on 3 coats if a different brand. Unbelievable !!! Not at all satisfied or happy !!

What a Surpise

We had never heard of Valspar before and to our delight we found it just as good if not better than other brands

2 coats insufficient much to my dismay

Applying 2 coats over a light color paint should be sufficient for a paint this costly. Have enough to apply avthird coat but not pleased that I need to

Not one coat coverage

I was told this could cover light beige in one coat no problem. I didn’t mind the cost for that reason. Now I have to pay for a second coat! I’m a teacher and am frustrated at the cost for the quality. I would have been better off with a cheaper paint.

Not a fan.

I don’t know how they are allowed to put “one coat coverage. Guaranteed” on the can. Both the rooms I just painted, with two separate colors had to have two coats of paint. I used two buffet brushes and different roller types, didn’t matter. Better off buying the cheap paint in my opinion.

Great one coat coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried this during a BOGO event for a job we were doing. Fantastic! We normally use Duration, but this blew that away.

Basically water paint

Go with behr or sherwin Williams paints if you don’t want to apply 3+ coats of paint for proper coverage. You would be better off using water color paint than valspars garbage.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Painted the living room and front closet a number of years ago and found some marks on the wall (crayon, scuffing, gunk). A little scrubbing took everything off and the walls look much better. .

Valspar Reserve eggshell finish paint

I bought Valspar Reserve eggshell finish paint for my two bedrooms and my study. I am pleased with the end results. The paint looks smooth and the colors look bright after drying. Note that the paint is advertised as having one-coat coverage, but the orange paint (Monarch Wing) took three coats to cover the previous gray paint. For the purple (Playful Petal) and blue (Bright and Breezy) paint we may have been able to get away with one coat for each, but we did two coats to ensure that the rooms ...

Great coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter painted her room PURPLE....deep purple....when she left for college I painted it a gray, using Valspar. Perfect coverage!

Color match

Color came out great. Easy to apply and so far scuff resistant. Looks slightly lighter on a white wall but overall color match.

Quality Paint

Great coverage with just one coat, nice depth of color and sheen.
