Amazing product that does everything it promises
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Cabot forever but when Deck Correct came out I was amazed. My decks are 20+ years old and Deck Correct did exactly what it promised. My decks are in great shape considering their age of 20+. You can see the before and after in the submitted photo. I'll never use anything but Cabot Deck Correct. Deck Correct has protected my lattice for the same amount of time which blows me away. Lattice rots quickly in the Arizona sun and I have neve...

Fast and easy clean up
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stain was exactly what we needed. Rolled on smoothly and quickly. Nice thick consistency made it easy and less messy. Goes on light (I thought it was the wrong color) but dries as shown in sample. We also liked the semi- stain on the house

HORRIBLE
Would Not RecommendNEGATIVE 100 STARS HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE I prepped my deck as instructed. I stripped, I sanded, I power washed with deck cleaner, I sanded again, I power washed a second time, again with deck cleaner. I applied the "deck correct" after 4 days of beautiful, sunny weather to ensure the deck was completely dry. I applied the second coat the next day, approximately 18 hours after the first application. It all looked great, until it didn't. Left for vacation, came back 2 weeks later to thi...

Good stuff.
Would RecommendMaking some outdoor benches and used this . It stuffed up easily and some areas peeled off. Was using 2x12x8 fir. Had issues with wood as it leaked sap out , so had to let wood dry for a few days.

Pier Re-stain
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older pier that needed staining again, a neighbor recommended Cabot Deck Correct and I’m glad he did, it cover the old wood great. Some of it was separated and it took care of the cracks, and by the was the pier was over 40 years old so you can imagine.

Tint changed this year
Bought this paint a year ago, the Tile Red. It matched our shutters beautifully. This year we bought the same color but it doesn't match (not happy at all) Cabot decided to change the tint colors this year. So how are we supposed to touch up any places on the deck that we did last year because it doesn't match.

Amazing on old barn wood!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 30+ year old barn made from lumber we milled. Cracks and splits and very faded. Cabot Deck Correct made a huge difference! Great protection and good looks! Very pleased with it! Easy to apply - we brushed it on to get deep in each crack and split. So easy to clean up as well! Next, our 30+ year old deck!

Unhappy color choice
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased some deck correct a few years ago and thought it would look nice and it doesn’t. I want to remove it and go back to natural wood to restrain. I don’t have the ability to do it on my own and was hoping to win a contest of some sort for a makeover.

Makes Old Boards New
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recommend Cabot for all of my exterior refinishing projects. It makes old, rain and sun damaged boards look like solid pieces, and leaves a grippy finish. It can take a deck on its last leg and add 10 years. Love it. Easy to apply, covers easily, very thick.

Do not pressure wash!
Would RecommendI've used this on three decks in Oho and Michigan. I tis the only thing I have ever used that works and stick for a prolonged time through rain, snow, etc. Most of the bad reviews appear to be from people who pressure washed the deck to remove old paint/stain, etc. This was their mistake... The wood must be dry before you apply Deck Correct. Pressure washing forces too much water down into the grain of the wood, and even if the surface looks dry the next day, it is not dry. When the wood heats u...

New Life to old deck
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The surface of my deck was in bad shape but I knew that I had solid wood underneath. The South Carolina Sun can be rough on a deck.. I sand the surface and applied Cabot Deck Correct. I went on smoothly. I really like the textured surface. I really like my "new deck."

Deep dark colors
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just started using the product I like the dark thick colors but does not cover old paint very well.

Does not adhere to lumber
Would Not RecommendBought this product a few weeks ago because I have an older deck that is still structurally sound but was looking for a product to help fill/cover some of the more heavily weathered areas. Well after 2 days of pressure washing, paint stripping, and finally prepping with Cabot’s wood cleaner, I let it sit and dry for a couple days. Perfect weather. Temps in low 80s, with no rain for 2 weeks before or after prepping/painting. First coat went nowhere, seemed like the wood was soaking it in well, wh...
