What Customers Are Saying

The vibrant, true-to-sample color selection receives consistent acclaim, with many reporting homes look refreshed and maintain brightness for years. Love ❤️ this paint
Would RecommendI bought this for an old shed. Used red and it’s not faded in four years. I didn’t do much prep work just cleaned the old boards a little and slapped this stuff on! Beautiful and bright. It looks like I bought a new shed ! It’s 🤩 amazing! Covered some old moldy boards. Its the only paint I will buy for anything I do outside! Val-spar is so much better than Sherwin-Williams which is like painting with Elmers glue!

NOT MOLD RESISTANT
Mold developed within a couple of months. We primed T1-11 with Killz and used the Valspar Duramax as a top coat and had black mold within a couple of months. Now we have to spend thousands to have it repainted.

Lots of bubbles that don't go away and need to be sanded off. A real pain in the you know what on a paneled exterior door and how can I ever be "done" if every new coat needs sanded??? Btw this is the second exterior paint by Valspar that this has happened with. I can't remember what the other one was, that was about 7 years ago. Both with deep red color tints. I don't know if there would be a difference if it was a lighter color or not but seems like that shouldn't matter...

Excellent Coverage
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paint covered my 123 year old home with no issues. It turned out great. Everyone loves the colors . All came from Valspar. I have used Valspar for over 15 years for my last home and now for this home.

Not really happy.
Would Not RecommendWe purchased this paint after being told it was one of the best. Well I’m not sure I agree with them on this. Paint is fading, splotchy and in some ares nail heads are showing through. I’ve been maintaining buildings for over thirty years. I used to only use Fraser until they disappeared. I need to repaint my house again and I really hate painting. I’m not even sure it would be worth trying to file a warranty claim.

I am 71 and retired.Paint contractor for 25 years, store paint owner 13 years.Painted our shed light color to stop fading as dark tinted colors fade Quicker. In less than one year it is faded baddddd. If Valspar is conglomerate of Sherwin Williams they suck.Used it back in the 70s on Phil Gramms house in College Station Tx.and the Exterior was peeling in one month, never had any use for Sherwn Williams.

Worse paint. I ever used
Would Not RecommendI can’t believe this paint I just painted my whole house including the eaves in the summer and the paint is already bubbling under the eaves It’s like the paint sweats I used this same paint 5 years ago and never had anything like this happen. I don’t know what they did to this paint but it is garbage. Now I have to worry about damage to my eaves now because the garbage paint is not protecting them. I spent a lot a money for this product and it took a lot of work prepping and painting wi...

BUBBLES & STREAKS :'(
Would Not RecommendThe color is beautiful, BUT the bubbles and streaks ruined the finish. We noted the bubbles in the can, on the stir stick, and in the tray, but as they seemed to dissipate quickly, we hoped they would pop and flatten as the paint leveled and set. The paint is thin for an exterior paint. We ended up using 3 coats so far as it does not cover well and leaves streaks. It really needs at least one more coat for full coverage. Plus it took forever to dry enough to the touch for me to feel comfortabl...

Very disappointed
Would Not RecommendI bought this paint for exterior vinyl shutters on my house and I’m very disappointed because I painted them 2 weeks ago and have been letting them sit to fully cure before hanging them. They still feel tacky and the paint is peeling in spots along the edges already and the paint is supposed to not peel or crack and withstand all weather and they are peeling before I’ve even been able to hang them on the house. So frustrated and disappointed with this paint!

Ext paint with muscle.
Would RecommendReally like this paint. Have sprayed it on 8 homes and about to do the tenth. 1st house was in 2019 and it still looks great. It is thick, can be difficult to prime an airless but isn’t too hard. Covers very well with one coat on most colors. Very tough paint when dry and resists moderate rain after less than two hours, experienced it this spring.
