Not impressed

The board we received was damaged upon delivery. It was difficult to see until we got it all unwrapped after not needing to use it for a week or so after delivery. This product will need to be finished. The board was pretty wavy. Definitely need to invest in better packaging.

Horrible packaging with damage to the product.

Requires much better packing. Multiple dents and scrapes on a piece of wood you spend hundreds of dollars on. It was supposed to be delivered and delayed 3 times so we picked it up ourselves. Manager on duty at Hickory was not helpful at all! But purchasing manager in Morganton was great. I would be very hesitant to recommend the product and the service.

Looks good, easy to work with

I bought this to compliment the butcher block countertop I purchased earlier. Very easy to work with and added that final touch I needed. I used the portion I cut off to top the end of the counter as well.

Quality is very much lacking, they are not sealed

First, these are unsealed; which was not apparent when we bought it. However, quality is lacking in a big way... We found many imperfections throughout, many were found after we cut it (unfortunately). On one side, after we laid down the counter top we found what basically looked like a faint 12 x 12 box that was lighter than the rest. In addition, we had taped it to ensure cutting would not marking it up. However, as we pulled up the painters tape; it started to pull up wood fibers, leaving ...

Pretty but poor quality

It is a pretty piece of wood but it is VERY easy to leave marks, scratches and dings which also shows the lighter color wood under the stain. Not at all what I was expecting and am disappointed...

Good but check for warping

I bought two to make a 10 ft island. One was perfect but after cutting and installing I realized the 2nd board was cupping a little. It ended up working out with some shims and screws to level a little. I ended up putting another layer of espresso stain on the island then a few coats of waterlox on it. Came out amazing. Also I sanded a little with 400 grit to smooth out a few slightly rough spots before finishing. For under 800 bucks I’m very happy with it.

Horrible Product

I received this product to use as a table top. When I opened it at home to inspect it, I found multiple splits in the wood, multiple gauges on the top and bottom of the butcher block. non of the sides are usable since they all have lots of imperfections. Not sure if wood sealer will be able to seal the splits, to block moisture from getting in.

Did come with very small damage. Looks like shipping straps were to tight. Bought the mini wax stain 273. And it came out good. Love the top. I’m now doing the finish
