Wood filler can be sanded after full dry through
May be painted with latex-based paint immediately after sanding, or after 12 hours if using an oil-based paint
Clean up by wiping off excess filler from surface and tools with a damp cloth before material dries, scrape away dried wood filler
Exterior applications must be coated with latex or oil-based paint or solid color stain to protect repair

What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this wood filler for its ease of application, excellent sanding properties, and reliable repair performance. Most highlight how smoothly it sands without crumbling, accepts paint seamlessly, and effectively fills nail holes, cracks, and gouges. Many appreciate the quick drying time and minimal cleanup required. The squeeze tube design works well for most, though some report difficulty dispensing or note the tube can split under pressure. A few mention it dries too quickly for deeper repairs or find it less effective for their specific needs. Overall, reviewers consistently recommend it for DIY projects and small home repairs.

Kind of impressed. Got it for a few floor and wall repairs. Kept using it over 2+years surprised it hadn't internally dried up like most putties. Opened it today one more time and thought, darn, its caked like 2 week old icing on cake in the fridge, and when applied to just fill stuff it broke down into useful "well used" playdough putty. What is dead may never die I guess. It will harden when exposed outside the container overtime to expected wood filler hardness. Just surprised how long it las...
Deck patching
I have an old weathered deck that needed paint. So I got the plastic wood to fill the major cracks and holes. The product did the job well enough and was easy to use. I wished the container was a bit easier to seal. The flimsy plastic lid cracked and if I hadn’t used the whole thing, the reminder would have dried out.
old standard
it's just ok putty noting to write home about it's been around for at least 50 years

I am reviewing this and hope to win a $500 prize
This is the master putty of all time. Creamy, easy to apply, and masks any natural or man-made imperfections in the construction of my highly anticipated bathroom cabinetry. I resembles peanut butter, but don't eat it.

Not as expected
This product wasn't as expected. It took 2 weeks to completely dry. It was lumpy as I put it on the surface. Won't buy again.
Thank you for posting your feedback on DAP Plastic Wood All Purpose Wood Filler. As is the case with all acrylic-latex (water-based) formulas, they d...

Work great
Was able to repair a rotted area of a board on a deck by clearing out the rot about a 1/4 inch deep and filling with the product. I could not believe how well it turned out .
Using wood filler to fix foyer attacked by termite
It was easy to form, but takes a very long time to set. I like that you can add water to make it spread easier. My only concern is during that past week, with constant rain, some the patches became malleable again. I am hoping once it is painted and sealed from water it will create a hard cure.
Decent option for repairing rotted wood
Purchased this as an alternative to the high performance Minwax wood filler when repairing dry rotted wood in my deck. It doesn't seem to bond quite as well but it also doesn't cure as ridiculously fast as the minwax, so it seems to be a decent alternative. I haven't tried staining over it yet, so that will be my next test. But so far seems decent.
Easy to use and repairs wood perfectly.
I have used this product before and it works super good taking care of wood damage. My German Shepherd had been jumping on a window ledge and her nails made grooves in the wood. This product worked easily into the wood and now you can't tell that there was any damage at all.
Great Value
Easy to apply and dries quickly. Is waterproof after hardening but requires a top coat to stay so.
