Whirlpool 30-in 4 burners Stainless steel Gas Cooktop

Unhappy with Whirlpool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to call service to get the cooktop repaired, because it never worked right since end of November 2024 For 3 months a brand new appliance hasn't worked correctly. They told me it wasn't registered( which I knew was registered). They wanted me to go thru the registration process again. Which I waited on the phone for an hour and a half to do last time. Now I get an email saying it was registered as I knew. So the service department ha...

Disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this almost 4 weeks ago and from the first time I used it I noticed a malfunction on one of the igniters. The issue was fixed fairly quickly thanks to the builder's intervention, mine is a brand new home equipped with Whirlpool appliances. So the "stainless steel" surface has several spots (at least 3) that are rusty. Rust on a brand new appliance that's hardly been used 3 times is significantly disappointing to say the least. I am contem...

Poor configuration of burners on this cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the burners work, I am very frustrated with the larger ones placed in the rear and smaller ones up front. I mainly use the larger ones and this configuration is not nearly as comfortable or practical for me. The iron grates lift to clean but easily shift off their hinge in the back making it difficult to hold them up and clean at the same time. Also the grates are misaligned. This was the builder supplied counter gas stovetop and one I wo...

Plastic knobs and placement was a stupid design

This came with the upgraded kitchen package in my modular home. It really is not much cooking space and it's pretty impossible to use all 4 burners at once unless you are using tiny pans. The smallest burner is really pointless, the medium size is the smallest you need. Also having the knobs inset into the cooking area takes up valuable space. My outer 2 knob covers are melted/warped because I use a griddle pan that covers 2 burners and extends over the outermost knobs. Would've been ideal to in...

I will keep it but....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far seems to be functioning properly but there are some negatives to it. These are the negatives.... Sits very high on the counter the pot s are higher than a surface mountain one, the great should come with a broad of some sort to hold it up for cleaning so both hands are free to clean, the dials rotate in opposite direction then what is normally seen, some of the burner flames are not exactly equal flame light all the way around, and as th...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop is very easy to clean which I love but I wish the burners were switched and at least one of the large burners were in the front. I do most of my main cooking with medium/larger burners so it’s not convenient when they are in the back. I would’ve given 5 stars if they were in the front. I also wish the cooktop itself was larger so that all burners could be used at the same time when I am cooking multiple things. It’s not a “small” c...

Burners are awkward

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove was in my new home, so I did not choose it myself. The stove works well, but I don’t love the placement of the burners. The large—and more frequently used—burners are in the back, and the small burners—which I rarely use, are in the front. The knobs are plastic, and I melted one the first day when I set a hot pan back on the stove overlapping the knobs. The knobs are placed in the center instead of along the front, and I think they t...

Great feature and burners are well spaced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this 4 burner stovetop with the new home package and initially we were hesitant about the 4 burner (as most of my friends have 5 burner) but when I started to use I could feel the comfort ness in operating the knobs and the space between the burners. I wouldn’t have got good spacing like this even with 5 burner and I could place my pot pans and a small pot at the front and do multiple cooking at the same time. The knobs are smooth. We had...

It’s Gas!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve wanted a gas stove for years, and have never lived where that was an option except for one time. We just bought a new spec home, and it has gas. I was so excited. I love it, except I wish one of the large burners was on the front instead of them both being in the back. With the microwave above the stovetop, it’s hard to use my pasta pot. There’s not enough room to raise the insert up out of the water, and it’s also almost impossible to ...

Grate broke

Stove works well, have had no other issues. But at installation we went to look at the stove top and lifted the grate and a piece of the grate broke off. I didn’t bother sending info in bc I was too overwhelmed with the kitchen remodel, but now have continually gotten frustrated that pans tip in the broken section. So I finally Tried contacting warranty information and am told we have to buy the grate ourselves and then only get 50% back. We purchased the extra 5 year plan as well. Apparently th...
