Horrible customer service. Trex better option
I had the timbertech by Azek product installed and every step of the way the experience was horrible. Sales guy gave wrong install info. Customer service gave me the run around when railing hardware was faulty. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Had a friend install Trex instead and he told me experience was excellent and I like the color, texture, heat dissipation better on Trex.

Anyone that has built any more than one of these knows joists are best at 12" on center, It's a good product if substructure is correct. You can't just rip up wood decking and throw down composite. Doesn't work that way.

The noise noise noise
Our builder installed TimberTech Advanced PVC Boardwalk. Looks lovely, but it sounds like it we live over a train station. The howling is unbelievable! Timbertech sent us an 8 page PDF titled "Tips for Reducing Wind Noise in Grooved Decking" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! there were 3 options (fill drainage gaps, add wood underneath or netting!). i love it!!
im an installer and the color and quality is top notch!! looks like the same person left all these bad reviews and i suspect a bad install. i set them 16" o/c and had no issues. one can set them at 14" o/c if they want.

Stay away from this product
We had a 14’ x 42’ deck TimberTech Landmark Castle Gate deck installed. I would NEVER use this product again! The boards flex between the joints (16” centers) for anyone weighing more the 150 pounds, deck just feels flimsy and the boards started warping within a month of moving in to our new home. The manufacturer stated that any glass (windows and doors) overlooking the deck will cause warping due to sun reflection.
