4 months old and I have had problems with this lock since day 1. Sporadically not connecting to wifi. Door open/lock notifications coming more than 30 minutes after the event. Now it started to say "lock jammed" then "critically low battery" when batteries are new. Changed batteries and still saying 0% battery. Tried to delete and re-add and now won't go into pairing mode. A lot of money for a piece of garbage.

2 week battery life
The lock and app work well, but the batteries have died every 2 weeks. The wifi connection is strong and the lock fits perfectly, so there is no reason it should be dying that quickly. We will be replacing it with a non-wifi enabled lock.
Look elsewhere -- do NOT buy Kwikset Wifi locks.
This lock is a complete failure for anyone who actually needs reliable remote access. It only works properly if you are physically there to deal with constant updates and issues—which completely defeats the purpose of a WiFi-enabled smart lock. If you’re considering this for a rental property, especially one you don’t live near, do yourself a favor and avoid it entirely. 5 month battery tops
I rarely use the keypad maybe 3 times a month. Batteries need replacing every 5 months maximum. The keypad will activate to light up from wind and snow. If I could I would return this and get something lower tech that does not do wifi and just has buttons and no smarts. Its neat but total waste of money and annoying the batteries don't last longer.

Battery dies and you get locked out
Very poor battery life. I have 2 of these locks on 2 different properties. I love that I can control entry from the App on my phone when its able to connect and set up unique entry codes for renters. Unfortunately the battery drains every couple of weeks, and the connectivity is very spotty so I'm often not able to set up entry codes. Very dissappointing.

Not for Cold Climates
The installation was clear and simple. App easy to use. But the locking mechanism is very loud and slow. Batteries drain within a month in the winter and the touchscreen stopped working (support call folks said the touchscreen may not work when temperatures are below 40 degrees Fahrenheit). Might be great for warmer climates.
