This lock did not work out for us. As others have noted, it constantly drops from wifi and refuses to work. It also would constantly become uncalibrated (I think) where the internal 'clutch' mechanism would engage, making it difficut to turn, to the extent I was afraid the key would break off inside. We had two of these (which I returned) and one of them, when pressing the lock button, would lock, then immediately unlock, but not every time. Both locks were in strong wifi areas. We have dozens...

Don't Buy, lemons with no real Kwikset support
Sadly I spent more than 2 hours installing and updating the firmware on he new Halo Select, and when I got to the final step, the lock started blinking red with an audible alarm. Only way to get it to stop was to remove the batteries. I called Kwikset help, and sadly when they heard the alarm they said all they could do was send me a new one after I sent them photos of the device and the receipt. No help, just told me to start all over again with another device and waste another 2 hours. No ...
