GreenGuard S14 fanfold residing underlayment can be used on the exterior wall of a house to provide a level backing for new siding over existing siding. It is designed to lay flat to provide a smooth, even finish. This siding underlayment is made of extruded polystyrene and is perforated to allow moisture vapor to escape. It does not absorb moisture and offers a R-value of 1. It improves building comfort by adding insulation, reducing drafts and helping protect the structure from rain/water entry. It is lightweight, easy to use, and does not crumble when cut.
