Block Air-conditioner Window

Used it for a quick way to block air coming through a window. I mounted an air-conditioner in a sliding window in my garage. This of course left a huge gap above the AC. Fortunately the window is 4' wide so I could cut a piece to fit over the AC to the window top and another piece on the other side to hold it in place. Just exactly enough width and tension to hold them in place. The aluminum facing is good for reflecting the sun and helping to keep the garage cool.

Wish it came in 4x8 sheets. I use it around the holidays for Christmas villages and train layouts. Would be easier to use the larger sheets. Used to be able to get the larger sizes on the west coast but not here in Charlotte

For Insulating a Garage Door

This product is fantastic for insulating garage doors and cheaper than Corning's Garage Door Insulating Kit. Both sides are sheathed - one side in aluminum and the other side is a clear plastic over the styrofoam core. It cuts easily with a sharp knife. The panels can be held in place by Liquid Nails adhesive. Also, a large "fender" Washer lapped over the edge of the foam and screwed into the door's frame works good.

Does what's needed

I bought this thinking it was just regular insulated foam board. It will work for insulating but it is not pressed foam but is just sheathed styrofoam.
