Peter's Honey Fig is one of the sweetest figs we've found. Brought from Sicily to the United States, this tree reliably produces shiny green-yellow fruits with a honey-sweet, dark amber flesh. Grows up to 12 feet tall and is an ideal choice for USDA zones 7 to 10, and will produce a crop after winter freeze in the southern half of zone 6. Peter's Honey is self fruiting, and so does not require a pollinator.
Each offer includes one fruiting plant grown in a 3 gallon pot
Beautiful shiny fruit is greenish yellow when ripe with dark amber flesh
Prune figs trees immediately after the main crop is harvested in early fall, annually during the first three growing seasons to establish desired shape
When planting, place the plant in the hole at the same level it was grown by the nursery, where the roots start and the tops shoots begin
Spread the roots out evenly, and gently work the soil around the roots, then water plant thoroughly.
