Great little Garmin!
We are a Garmin family. The youngest kids like their Vivofit jr.3 watches. They enjoy competing with each other with step counts. These watches also are very tough.

Too dim to see
It is too dark to see. Can't read the clock or time, see the activities or view it at all. Brightness cannot be adjusted. Unusable.

I think Garmin could have done better,especially for the price. The watch screen is so small and so dark. You can barely see the screen. So disappointed that I sent it back.

Just what I wanted.
I have had this for about a month. Wanted a device for time, and steps walked that didn’t need charging every couple of days. Only wish is that it would show distance walked.

Dim screen, minimal functionality
Pretty lackluster features for the price. Would be great if: 1) The screen was better lit. It's almost impossible to see at certain times of day or in certain light conditions. 2) There were more features - why can't the kids see the list of chores and their status on the watch? Or their sleep data? Instead, this all lives in the app which I don't give my child free rein with. Why can't the watch also show heart rate? There just aren't enough bells & whistles to make it worth the price.

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter. She really likes it but I think it’s meant for kids who are a bit younger.

A hit with our daughter
We bought the vivofit jr. 3 for our 11-year-old daughter as a way to encourage her to be more active, and just prior to a family vacation. She really likes the watch and has been wearing it 24/7. My wife and I track activity (steps, etc.) too, so we have fun comparing numbers. The pairing with my smartphone has worked well. Overall we're happy with the watch, with the one downside being the display which, while readable by my daughter, seems quite dark.

Screen is horrible
Overall its a good watch but the screen is really really bad, you can't see anything until you press the backlit button. Other than that, its a good watch and tracks decent metrics for the kids to keep them active etc.
