I bought this refrigerator in August 2024 and the compressor stopped working in February 2026. The only way I see to start the warranty process is to have a GE service tech come out, but the first available appointment was two weeks away. We cannot be without a fridge for two weeks, so we had to purchase a new fridge. This time I am purchasing a Whirlpool which seems to have a better reputation for longevity and reliability based on what I read online, so we'll see how that works. I'm disappoint...

The Sheldon on the doors are double wide so you don’t have to store things in the center of the refrigerator whereas you can put better things like desserts, fruit, etc. the freezer has an area for ice cubes and even comes with an ice cube holder, great in the summertime.

Re configuration, I wanted a freezer on the bottom, but this top freezer makes it easy to see and reach ice. Keeps things proper temperature.

This refrigerator is situated in the Next Gen. I put the settings to 3 (recommended) and it is not so cold. But to our surprise the freezer produces too much ice (excessive). Even if the ice storage is not yet full - the ice fails to go to the freezer ice storage/container. Ice always dropped outside the freezer ice container.
