Solid Tape Measure
Solid tape measure, and the foot markings are easy to read. I like all of the features on it as well from the rubber housing, the brake/stop and the 3.25" marking on the base of the tape measure if you're in a tight space. Well designed.
Great tape measure with great features
This tape measure is very easy to use with one key feature I love to see and several limitations. Starting in on the build quality, the tape measure feels sturdy and actually has taken a couple tumbles and still works perfectly. The main body material does feel a little low quality and the assembled halves aren't completely flush when lining up, but it's not too bad. Heavy duty
Heavier than other tapes that I've felt which feels good in the hand. Makes me believe it's a bit more durable as well. The finger brake cutout I thought was a bit weird to use at first but it won't pinch your finger like the other way would, so I think it's nice to have. The hold out length is huge too. 11' for me which is the same as the description. It's a nice thick gauge metal. Overall a great tape that should last a long time, unless you lose it like I tend to do.
Great Tape Measurer For All Your Needs!
I have purchased Lufkin tape measures before and have been deeply satisfied with the quality of their products. This one so far has met the same high standards that I expect of a tool. The Crescent Engineers Tape measure is a good quality sturdy product. The Unit fits comfortably in the hand and has a good feel to it. Under your index finger is a cut out that will allow you to control how the tape retracts when setting up to take measurements. The Lufkin 25’ tape measure by Crescent with the engineers scale is a nice solid tape measure. This tape is easy to read and includes both scales in inches/feet, as well as a decimal scale in 0.01/ft increments. The tape has a window on the bottom to allow you to control the tape with your finger plus a slide lock to lock the tape. Large - Easy to read
A little large for every day use, but not very heavy. The tape is marked in both 1/16th inch and decimal (1/10th foot). The clip is quite large & attached well. Should hold up.
A Great 25' Tape Measure
When I got this tape measure I wasn't sure what "Engineer's Scale" meant. It is a useful feature, in that it measures in 10ths of a foot. The bottom half of the tape measures in the usual inches (and fractions) and feet. The top half measures in 10ths and 100ths and feet. Couple of innovative features!
This Lufkin tape measure has some things that are wonderful additions to an already good product. There are two things that I find outstanding. 1. The finger control of the tape allows you to pull out enough tape to accurately measure an item WITHOUT having to lock the tape. 2. The oversized double hook does not slip off your starting point when you are 24’ away, saves a tremendous amount of aggravation.
