Designed with a tubular chassis for light commercial and residential uses. This lever fits doors 1-3/8-in to 2-in thick. It has a 3 hour UL fire rating and exceeds ANSI Grade 2 standards. Truly a horrible design that seems to have been made worse by a misalignment of the pinhole during manufacturing . The installation instructions were not successful, which led me to google how to release the pin. I found a tutorial with several people (like me) commenting how they could not get the pin to release the handle to install it. A very well made lock and perfect for Security.
Use this on my rental property front door. I had tenants who were leaving the door open and unlocked when going in and out. Now the door closes behind them and you must have your key to get back in. This also stopped non residents from freely entering the building.
