The Awntech Houstonian awning is an standing seam metal style door and window awning applicable for residential homes and commercial buildings. These awnings are aesthetically appealing and purchased for protection against sunlight, wind, snow, and rain. The design of Awntech metal awnings are primarily focused on a DIY (do-it-yourself) approach where the customer has the option to assemble and install the awning themselves. This awning gives you as the customer the option of cutting out the middle man providing you with additional cost savings on your home or commercial projects. The awning frame is made out powder-coated commercial grade steel. It is available in four matte color finishes: black, bronze, copper, and pewter. Each Bahama fixed awning is pre-packaged, modular, light weight, and is made up of easily replaceable parts (subject to Awntech 5-year limited manufacturing warranty).

Heavy snow bent the awning in the middle

Would Not Recommend

I bought these a couple of years ago, it stood up ok for the last couple of years. But this year, we had a heavy snow storm, the heavy snow bent the awning in the middle, pretty much all the way across.

Got the black houstonian awning (68 inch wide with 36 inch projection) and I cannot tell you how much I love it. I was looking into hiring a contractor to add a porch or portico to add some much needed architectural interest to the front of my house. Found this awning and it was just was perfect. Bracing is very well made and feels very solid. Instructions were pretty easy to follow and installed ourselves. Tip build a scaffold to hold the awning when installing. Also we used longer scr...

Recvd an "open box"

Would Not Recommend

I called Lowe's and explained that I was not satisfied with one of the awnings that I received. I ordered 3 AwnTech awnings. They were very satisfactory except for 1. The smallest awning was an "opened" box. All parts were not properly packaged. I would like a refund to my Lowe's credit card. And a return mail label - from you - to return this product.
