Write these measurements down and snap a picture on your phone so you have them handy when you go to Lowe’s to pick out your new door. There’s nothing worse than getting to the store and realizing you left the measurements at home.
- Door Swing Direction – To determine the swing direction, stand on the hinge side with the door closed. Pay attention to the side that the door handle is on because that’s the swing direction. The left side is left-handed and the right side is right-handed.
