Would RecommendThis is a substantial precision Chinese Chef's Knife! And very sharp. I accidentally cut a slice of my finger tip off without knowing it just running a paper towel over the edge lengthwise to dry it after washing it! I won't do that again. But it feels great in your hand, well balanced if you hold it correctly and it goes through veggies easily. Very durable. PBut get a magnetic bar to hold it and maybe a edge guard. Or maybe use a specisl drawer and shield for it. And keep away from kids.

Would RecommendThe blade is very sharp for home use. The handle is really great for my wife's hand, which is small. It also works for me, and my hands are not so small. The weight of the blade is perfect for cutting potatoes as well as leafy vegetables. The balance is also perfect for both of use for hojme use. My wife says this jmaterial is going to last a lifetime. We thought this was a little pricey, but as soon as we first used it, the price was well worth it.
