Bought to help mount a TV. It found what I was looking for... studs. Overall, it was easy to use and definitely more helpful than knocking on the wall and hoping for the best. Would recommend.

Stud Finder

Most stud finders are too low powered, but this one gets the job done every time. Just keep walking around my house finding studs. Might sound dumb because aren't most house studs 16"? Wrong. Come to New England and try that out.

Great for finding electrical wires

I upgraded to this stud finder because it includes electrical scanning. It works best on long stretches of wall and not on short lengths of wall — it needs a bit of a runway to get going. The only downside is that it requires a 9V battery that isn't included. I'd love this tool to be rechargable or for the battery to be included.

Use to Find Studs and Live Wires

This was a good buy for me. The live wire feature was especially useful when I was cutting through drywall since I had had a few close calls before. The device worked exactly how it was supposed to.
