Outstanding Coverage

This product preformed exceptionally! We are painting a 121 year old home and this stuff worked wonders. The home had more layers of paint than I could count. We scrapped and sanded until we were blue in the face. Without spending the rest of our natural lives prepping the surface of this house we finally gave up and just got the worst spots and decided to give this product a whirl. Preparation is key for sure. You can't expect this to just be sprayed over 15 layers of cracking and peeling paint...

Great Product

Works as described. Excellent product.

Works well on old cracked paint.

Not sure what other negative reviewers are doing, but it worked very well for us. Old cracked paint and it sealed it up very well. It's thickness is meant to help you apply it, not cover as a paint would. You still have to top coat!

Not a triple thick primer

Covers thin just like other reviews said. Needed 2 thick coats to not be clear

A little hard to work with

Works great when used as intended

Reading some of the negative reviews, it was obvious they didn't read the label. I used this both to paint outdoor wood window frames and on interior walls. Both were prepped to remove loose flaking then the Peel Stop was applied. It required several coats in some places but after painting with latex paint the surfaces looked great.

Not worth the cost!

Certainly it did not live up to its label. Found it to be extraordinarily thin. It was the most exprensive paint of its type Lowes carries.

Not as thick as it should be

Seems thick but thins out once put on, house paint is thicker and stays in place. I just found some house paint and put 2 coats of that on to fill the cracks prior to the last coat of color.

Bathroom ceiling project

Of course time will tell how good this stuff really is, but I had no issues applying it. After reading some awful reviews, I was hesitant to purchase. The old paint on my bathroom ceiling was flaking off, and I was trying to avoid removing it completely. I did check for moisture issues beforehand. I believe the problem was due to poor surface prep by the previous owners, as well as condensation due to improperly placed attic insolation. Do not buy

This does not work as advertised. I've bought a similar product before and it had great coverage. This was the only bonding primer I could find at Lowe's so I thought I would give it a shot. Unfortunately, this product is worthless it seems very thick in the can but when you apply it it is basically water. They say the product is white but it dries clear. It has such poor coverage that even after 3 thick coats the color difference between drywall mud and the drywall itself is still noticable.

Awful, again...

Yes, Rust-Oleum, before you respond... My can was shook, say for about 18 hours untouched, stirred and I used a roller, thought it was a nap, used a "high quality" synthetic brush too. In this case you don't get what you pay for!!!! Just reading another review about the garage door folks similar experience. Not happy. Agrees, also very thin coverage. NOT AT ALL like described. 2nd photo is pretty blurry, backlight, but you get the idea... :(

Awful!

I spent $55 on the primer. It is not which and it is creating pock marks. I have no idea what it is doing. It is awful. I'm going to see if I can return it. The surface is newly mudded, sanded, and washed with a sponge and clean wet T-shirt.. Not happy. I've been spending hours on this project only for it to get further destroyed. Very frustrating. I'm going to see if Lowe's will return it.

Utter garbage.

Save your money. Thick like toothpaste, paints on like sour cream. Should have read reviews but I am hopefully returning this today. It literally disappeared and looks like I didn’t paint anything.

No Way! Beware...

OVER $400 hundred dollars ago on total of (8) eight gallons has tought me to buy after researching thoroughly.

Don't buy, not worth it!

It said it was triple thick but when put strip on wall, it looked clear with a little white in it AND YES THE SHOOK IT FOR ME. I would have to put at least 4 coats on before it covered. Not worth double the price of regular.

Not very thick at all

This product was not very thick. I used 3 coats and the coverage was minimal. In a couple of spots the previous undercoat bled through. The paint was thoroughly mixed.
