Performed as expected

Works well and as described. Goes on in a white-ish color but dries more clear so don’t plan on this alone to change color.

Another Zinsser Home Run!

The paint on the ceiling in one bedroom has been flaking off in several spots. Repainting didn't help. Then we tried Peel Stop - no more flaking!

Terrible product

I have always used KILZ for stain blockers, but I was in a time crunch trying to finish a job for a customer and bought this zinsser triple thick because it was all that was available. At nearly twice the price, I assumed it must be really good stuff, but it's horrible. In the can it looks like it's thick as chicken gravy, but it rolls on the wall like skim milk. This is after 4 coats on some older bare plywood. Lesson learned. Stay with KILZ. It's half the price, and you only need one coat.

Terrible, not as described

This paint did not perform as described. It was not “thick”, it did not dry white, and did not take 20-30 minutes to dry. I applied 2 coats. It would not adhere or dry to my interior concrete porch (previously painted) at first. Took overnight (12+ hours) to dry. Next day when applying top coat it chipped and scratched with the paint tray. Absolutely did not perform at all as described and advertised. Will be seeking refund. Photo included is the 2 coats.

Good, not amazing

This worked like a regular primer... kinda. It didn't smooth the surface in prep for the primer like I was expecting. If you are looking to smooth out things like OSB, just use tinted Zinzer primer. No need for this. Two coats of primer did better at smoothing than one coat of this and a primer.

Don't Waste Your Money

This is just regular primer. No thicker than any other product. It's extremely thin and difficult to work with. Just buy a basic Kilz primer

Easy to apply, preserves the wooden exterior

This stuff is great!

The paint on my siding was peeling badly. I removed all that was loose, but there was still some left. I wanted to make sure that what was left would stay down. I saw a lot of good reviews on this product for issues like this so I gave it a shot. It was easy to work with and covered well. Putting the top coat on this was a breeze after using this! Paint applied so easily and smoothly. The finished product looks perfect. I highly recommend.

Amazing product

It stopped paint from chipping and peeling and filled in the low spots making it a smooth, new looking surface. Great product

Not very thick when rolled, requires spray

This is a semi translucent product, could be helpful in some applications, but opaque white would have been better for me. I used a thick / rough roller to try to apply the product thick to blend a bad knock-down ceiling texture and it did nothing to hide the texture, so I will save this for another priming job. Ended up using flat sheen light colored paint and that hid the texture well. This was low VOC and easy to work with otherwise.
