Read instructions!

So far so good. I have read a lot of reviews and a lot of them were bad. I believe the reason why is because they're not reading the instructions. If you read the instructions you shouldn't have worse than mediocre thoughts of this product. If you still think that it's just terrible then you're not applying it correctly or have skipped a step.

Primer Paint

This is the worst primer. It is nothing like the name implies. It provides zero coverage and it’s very thin when applied. A total waste of money.

Not paintbrush compatible

Total junk. Absolutely did not work. Mixing, stirring, etc. does not help. Maybe mine was defective. Hopefully I can get a refund. Lowes has been pretty good to me on customer service over the years.

Do not use on interior walls!

I bought peel stop because the paint in there was flaking off. We sanded, we scrubbed, we used joint compound to patch nail pops and holes. we sanded again, all of it. wiped it with a rag. Put this peel stop with hopes it would seal in the flaked spots. It is NOT thick when it's rolled on. It's super thin. The next day, we primed with valspar high hiding primer. In 30 minutes, little bubbles appeared in various places. We waiting a few hours and then we sanding them down only to find that the pe...

Peel Start

Even with prep work this product has caused more trouble than anything. Product peels no matter how it is applied. Not recommended. I have wasted loads of money fixing the problems this product stated it would alleviate.

it is a great surface to paint on

I did not have a peeling issue. What I had was 39 year old rough Cypress that was originally stained, then re-stained with a Solid Stain 19 year ago. The wood was dry with some cracking popped nails ect... we repaired and caulked everything then tried to Paint. I sucked up the paint and did not look so good. We tried the peel Stop and it worked great and left a surface that still had the textured finish by not a dried work look. Then the paint went on very nice and easy, even and ... it just loo...

Not thick

This product did not cover anything. Went on super thin. Very disappointed.

Peeling plaster ceiling

Worked well. Scrape everything down as much as possible. Applied 1 coat of Peel Stop let dry, fill voids with drywall compound, sanded and applied second coat of Peel Stop. Applied coat of drywall sealer then Two coats of ceiling paint. I only had a small bathroom ceiling so not too bad. Lots of steps but the results were good. Will see how it holds up.

Worked on metal

This product is thick, but using a brush it went on my metal door very thin and stripey, even where I tried a second coat. The paint I applied over it still went on smooth and looks good. Painting metal can be tricky. It's only been a month, but so far so good with no peeling paint.

how does this work

its very thin right out of the can right after being shook at the store Does not seem to cover at all I had it tinted because it says tintable right on the can--then I see in reviews it should not be not sure what the product really does

I was not disappointed with this, it cut my job in half.
