Ratings & Reviews for WORX Power Share 40-volt max 13-in Straight Shaft Battery String Trimmer Edger Conversion Capable 2 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

Batteries were no good.

The batteries that came with this product were defective. They won't take a charge nor will they work with any Worx product we have. Now we have to buy new batteries which will cost us over $100.

Throttle Broke off & can't use trimmer/edger now

We used the trimmer/edger once & the line kept getting stuck inside. I had to rewind the line multiple times. The second time we went to use it and the plastic variable throttle was broken off. So since you have to hold the throttle down while using the trimmer/edger it won't work now.

WG184 Boxed with WA3525 vs Nicer WA3575 Batteries

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchase a WG184 string trimmer/edger with a 2023 build date from a local big box hardware store in Kalamazoo Michigan. To my shock it was boxed with the cheaper WA3525 lithium-ion battery packs vs the as advertised everywhere WA3575 battery that has the useful integrated three power level indicator LEDS and power level test push button. The WA3575 cost $25 more than the WA3525. So the unit I purchased with two WA3525 batteries had parts v...

Great feathers ,easy to use.

Powerful trimmer

More than enough power for the most overgrown yards.

Worx string trimmer

A bit long and you need to pay attention yo the pitch of the string. But given that, it seems to work well.

So far, so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this w/o the batteries because I had two solid batteries from an earlier purchase (which failed for no apparent reason.) The new trimmer works well, but it's got a longer design and a wholly different power/control structure - so it takes some more effort to operate than the earlier (failed) model. ... The power is good - which is the most important thing - but the automatic string feeder is not quite effective for me.

A step up .....

I had a 20v trimmer before, and when I got my 40v trimmer from Worx, I noticed that power difference immediately. Even the string is heavier and last longer!

Powerful edger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A weedeater that is comfortable and adjustable for any size of person with the power and an edger

edger

This tool was the best item I ever bought for my yard, I'm single and I maintain my lawn and this little gem works wonders...Thanks

Hardy trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bashed this trimmer into the curb, road, and side of the house more times than I'd like to admit and it keeps on kicking. Battery life is great, though the two batteries will make it rather too heavy depending on what size batteries you're using. The easy swap between trimming and edging with the attached wheel makes it very convenient. Plus even if you do manage to break the spool cap off, they sell replacements ;) .

WORX great!

This weed eater/edger is so easy to use. The weight is nicely balanced and the arm can be adjusted to fit different heights. It has so much more power and cutting ability than I hoped for so I was able to go through some tall, thick-stemmed weeds. Having one tool to do cutting and edging is a bonus.

Shocking that I can actually weed eat again at 55

I’m 55, have had bilateral hip replacements, 2 back surgeries, 1 leaving 2 titanium rods and 6 screws in my back, severe nerve and muscle damage to numbness areas and now my knees are giving away on me. This tool is SO lightweight, EASY to control, practically GOES almost everywhere and is VERY cost efficient that even with all my ailments I’m finally able after 25+ yrs to ENJOY completing this mostly simple task. I’m hoping to complete another 25yrs with my Worx equipment.

Long lasting battery power and trimmer line

Had previously used 20v worz (single battery) unit and was ok but low power and eat up line. this duel battery with heaver line works great. Do not have to go over same area several times and line feed works great

Good solid trimmer for the money

This trimmer has a lot of features more expensive trimmers have. The swivel handle makes switching from trimming to edging effortless. The detachable wheels are sturdy and don't get the way of trimming if you decide to leave them attached. In fact, the only feature that doesn't work 100% is the trim line advance. Several times the line did not feed properly. It's easy enough to take the trim line cover off and work the line thru the hole manually. But it does add time to lawn maintenance. ...

Not made for short people

I have the WG184. If you are short (I'm 5 ft 6 inches), this is not for you. It's way too long and a little heavy (I had to use a shoulder strap from one of my bags). Also, batteries run hot so are not chargeable until they cool down (charger light is red so won't charge). Motor may be too strong for the .08 line as it always breaks and the feeder doesn't work all the time. The way it works is the motor stops spinning and before it completely stops, it feeds line out of the spool. It doesn't...

Very versatile, easy to use.

This unit is more heavy duty than my other Worx trimmer, but it is also more powerful and the batteries seem to last longer.

NO PARTS AVAILABLE

[Employee of worx] CAN'T PARTS FOR THIS TOOL: SPECIFICALLY THE SAFETY GUARD. AND WHEN YOU TYPE IN THE MODEL NUMBER--- NOTHING SHOWS UP; SO GOOD LUCK IF YOU NEED PARTS. OTHERWISE IS A GOOD TOOL
