I give this refrigerator two stars because of design. It's an attractive and well laid out machine, but that's all it has going for it. The manual says to ensure you have good water pressure for the dispenser to fill an 8 oz. glass in 16 seconds... well it took twice that long. My water pressure is 55psi. I replaced the water filter with the same brand as the original and that increased the water flow to the manuals specification. But now the filling of the ice tray is so loud it wakes me seve...

THE WORST

My whirlpool has been nothing but trouble since the first day I received it. It is 18 months old and I have had to have it repaired 3 times. The first repair was for the broken ice maker after one month. I have emptied and defrosted it and waited for someone to repair more times than it has worked. I had a Whirlpool for 13 years that I loved but I would NEVER buy a new one. Even my repair man said that the mother board goes out like clock work, just after your warrantee expires.

Excellent refrigerator

We really like the simplicity and layout of this new refrigerator. The interior is well-conceived, easy to clean, simple and perfect for us.

Coating failure

We bought this just over one year ago. The fridge is fine mechanically and we have had no issues. This past week the fingerprint resistant coating has started to peel off on one of the doors. Whirpool,has denied knowing of any issues and said it only has a 30 day cosmetic warranty. I would definitely not recommend the fingerprint resistant coating because due to the product failure the fridge looks awful and there is nothing that can be done to repair it and Whirlpool is not willing to discu...

Beware of Bad Tasting Water

We bought this refrigerator a month ago. The refrigerator is nice. Big enough and keeps things cold. However, the water from the dispenser tasted like metal/plastic. Following recommendations, we flush the water and empty the ice bucket everyday. After a month, it still tastes bad. Our water lines are copper and braided steel. I've also noticed mold around the ice bucket. Afraid to drink from it. We've been buying bottled water and ice. Never had this problem with ice makers in previous refrige...
