Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen5000DFcv Recoil Start 5000 Starting / 3901 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

Recommend

Easy to set up. Quieter than expected. Heavy but easy enough to roll around.

Great portable generator.

Overall a great portable generator for our RV. I love that it fits in the back of my truck under the tonneau cover. Also love the dual fuel option and remote start. Fired right up out of the box. Was impressed to see I could run my RV air conditioner and peaked out at 50% power on propane. The oil was a little tricky to access/fill, but the provided screw in tube was helpful … will have to investigate how to change when the time comes! Really wish the LP regulator had an option for a quick conne...

Just the right size for our Camper

Only had this generator a short time but so far it has worked great. The only con I have so far is that the place to fill the oil is a bit inconvenient.

Great Features and heavy duty

Just recently purchased to use for a cross country trip in our RV. Perfect solution for boondocking

Quality

I really like the igen5000. It’s performed just as expected.

Compact, versatile, and quiet

I bought this to power our travel trailer when boondocking. But it also doubles for emergency backup to run critical stuff at my house during power outages. The electric start and remote make it so easy to use. The dual fuel is especially nice to have since I always have propane available at home or off-grid. The wheels and pull handle make it very easy to move around, and it is light enough to lift into my truck bed by myself. I researched many generators of this type, settled on this one, and...

Great for our RV

We purchased a swing away hitch for our RV and put this generator on it. It is quiet, efficient, and perfect for us to use.

Best money for the value!

I bought this generator to power our RV camper and I am not disappointed! It is very quiet and the remote start make it perfect for RV’ing. It has plenty of power to operate everything in the RV. Great product for the price!

Easy Setup

Did the break in with a vacuum cleaner and an air compressor that cycled on and off. Used on one job so far and it worked fine. Will take it camping in 2 weeks.

invertor generator 5000

too soon to tell, it shuts down when running AC only in or travel trailer. We are in process of trouble shooting.

Fully Loaded Generator

The igen5000fdc is a great product with all the features I wanted. I was shopping for a lower powered generator initially but when I found this quiet generator already set up for lp or gasoline with true inverter power that would be all I needed for my RV I was sold. I had a Honda 2000 that I had converted to propane but it did not have enough power and I did not want to purchase another one to run in parallel for the money it cost to buy this unit. Plus, this unit comes with push button and rem...

Works good for RV

I just used my 5000DF for the first time last weekend and was very satisfied. It ran my camper AC with no problem and was quiet enough. Easy to start and use.

Great inverter in the market i will buy again.

Happy with my 2nd unit. I will buy again in the future.

Excellent generator

I just purchased this generator. While I have not use it yet, I am confident that it will serve my needs. I chose Westinghouse because I own a smaller version that works flawlessly.

Great Features!

Happy that I can use propane or gasoline. Has the USB plug ins which will be great to charge our phones. Also it is quiet so that's a plus!

Wonderful inverter for off grid!

Finally got to use this at our seasonal site. Quiet and powerful, able to run everything on our camper, including a/c. Great choice.

great first use

Bought this to use with my toy hauler when we don't have electric on site. Only used one weekend so far but love the quiet running and enough power to run everything.

Inverter

Just bought this thing and i am impressed with the packaging.

First Time Generator Owner (Dual Fuel)

I purchased this generator due to the terrible hurricanes last year in Florida. I was not going to be without a generator this year. I reviewed many generators, and this one seemed that it would fit our needs the best. The unit had high reviews, and we were able to purchase online and pick up at Home Improvement store within a few days of ordering. Reason for the 4 stars, is that it would not start with a gasoline hook up, it started and ran with the propane, but for some reason would not start ...

Quiet inverter

This generator is great it is very quiet and easy to start.
