Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen5000DFcv Recoil Start 5000 Starting / 3901 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

Easy to operate with handy features

I bought this back in winter and it's worked great! Fortunately, haven't needed it often, but it fires up easily and the display is so helpful for tracking the current demand on it (to make sure we don't exceed capacity). I have only used it with propane and the connections were easy to setup. It's not light, but it's also not so heavy that I can't move it around by myself as needed so it sits stored in my garage and then I wheel it outside for usage.

cant wait to use it

Pulled right out of box added oil and started right away! Cannot wait to use both gas and LP option

Generator

I bought this a week ago for emergency use when the electric goes out! It runs easily and quietly!

Good

I received it and it started right up. Have not had a chance to really us it yet

Can't really review on something with issues already 🙄

Great !!

Just bought this and so far great generator really quite too very happy with purchase

Generator

Started well, quiet, haven't needed to use it yet.

All-Around Awesome

Very high quality generator. Quiet, efficient, and really convenient with the pull handle extension to move around! I use this for my 30ft camper and it can run the AC, tv, lights, microwave at the same time!

Good generator. Louder than expected

I bought this a few weeks ago for use with my camper. Setup was easy and it started second pull. Ran smooth during the break-in period and powers my camper very easily. My main gripes are as follows: adding oil was messy as it came out of the oil intake stem even when on a flat, level service and adding the required amount of oil. Cleanup is not easy inside the plastic housing. My largest con is the sound. I bought this exclusively based on the advertisement by Westinghouse claiming it is ‘super...

Great Features

Great machine, sturdy and does exactly what I need it to do!

I'm very happy with this product. I've used it a couple of times. First time I used a full tank of gas and it ran around 10 hours before it shut off. The second time I used it, I used it with a 20 LB propane bottle. Wasn't quite feel. All the way. And it ran around 12 hours. It is light. And. Runs very smoothly and quiet.il.com

Works great after initial use. Will update review after more extensive use.

easy to operate

i was surprised at how quiet this generator was. I hooked up the propane and it started the first time.I am happy with westinghouse.

Quiet!

Needed a generator to power my RV ac and for a mini split in cabin. After first night of use I couldn’t be any happier with the my purchase. Is very quiet for a generator to the point I keep forgetting it’s even there which is great since I wasn’t wanting to bother neighbors overnight.. Was on the fence on this one or the 4000. Go ahead and spend the extra money and get 3x the gas tank and extra power.

Broke down in 1 day

Went for camping, this piece of junk just lasted 5 hours and turned off. Didnt want to start again. Lowes didnt want to refund and westinghouse didnt want to reapond either. Dont buy this generator.

Great Customer Service

I would recommend Westinghouse Generators I have used them for years. This one I had a problem with but Westinghouse customer service and Chris at Lowe’s in Latrobe took care of the problem with outstanding customer service.I have the Westinghouse 2500 and 8200 and they work great. Because of that I going to have new 5000 delivered tomorrow.

Great features and power

I purchased this after careful research in preparation for power outages that might occur again.
